We are always in TBF2 server, there clan members can confirm this as well. we always work real tight with each other cause we are all on Ventrilo like Strega said. but when your alone it just sucks now. i was averaging 4-5 hours a day. now i just dont feel like playing unless my boys are on. if there not playing i dont bother joining a server anymore.

I can play all other maps fine except Mashtuur. I can sometimes get into Mashtuur. How would you explain a random CTD at the exact same moment I load this specfic map? It's obviously the patch that did it.
kk i know nothing, so little that i can spot a typical nub mistake in your ram timings, if you miss something like that, what else could you have missed?
change the 5 to 7, more mb/s and more stability.

your map has likely got corrupted, the patching PROCESS or an unstable overclock would have done it. simply re-install it...

They are running at 3-3-2-7 already. Those are my max stable timings, I always loosen them for general use like gaming.

If you knew anything you would know that Infineon IC'sre are capable of a Tras of 0 and can run very low with perfect stability.

I guess I'm just as noobish as the guys at XS who benchmark with their infineon IC's running very low Tras.

My Mushkin blues which are also Infieon, but BE-5 are also running a Tras of 0 with no issues on my other PC.

        Example:

These are highly binned CE-5 and have no 3D stablility issues.

          K. Enough e-peeing!
Wreck, just try ta figure out WTF is going on. If it's just Mash that's fouling you up, you're way ahead of the game. Atleast you have a clue as to what's going on. Ya might try extracting the original map version from your install disks, overwrite you existing ones with it, then re-applying the patch.

Zip, despite my comments about most issues being end-user related, it doesn't mean that they are easy to sort out or that if someone has 'em that it makes 'em a computer noob. I've had some screamingly nasty issues with other products, so I can sympathize with the situation.

the 2 looks a little harsh as well ? tccd isnt it? sure that prefers 2.5-3/4-3-7

and while 7 is looser, its also faster. hence why i run bh5 @2-2-2-6 instead of 2-2-2-5, some 60-80mb/s faster.

*edit* wow nice edit Wreck, total rewrite of your post to make me seem unknowledgable lol

Read my revised post. They don't make TCCD in 1Gb modules.

All I ask is that you don't tell me I have stability issues. I would know.

Don't bother Wreck, the current trend is to at all costs blame the end-user for a botched patch, in order to hold on to the bizarre dream that the patch isn't borked. You must remember that if you have not experienced something personally it must be fictional . My PC has run 48-hour simulations of numerical solutions to multi-variable calculus, but try to press the Join Game button and I CTD, well obviously the solution is that my PC is unstable despite running on no OC or any other stability hurting problems, well thats what some computer-illiterate idiot might think anyway.

Wreck, just for the record have you tried a full re-install yet or extracting the old Mash map and re-patching?
I know it's painful, but until ya give it a shot, we simply don't know if maybe it would fix things up fer ya.

Token, you aren't contibuting here. We all know you insist on being a ray of sunshine in these forums accompanied by rainbows and butterflys, but could you possibly ton down the fluffy bunny comments just a little?

I'm currently in the middle of a full Windows reformat.

Lol, I'm sorry but certain of us have tried all of these obvious fixes which are being posted to no avail. It is certainly frustrating when it is being suggested that it is still our fault. It isn't.

Wasn't my intention. Rather, I wanted to bring to light the fact that the vast majority of issues are resolvable by the end user. I've been keeping close tabs on all this ruckus and most people who came here screaming about how much Dice sucks have managed to fix their problems.

I never ment to suggest that there aren't some finicky oddities causing even knowlagable people to want to scream. Even if there are some core issues with the patch that are causing you direct grief, it's still more constructive to work at bashin 'em out of existance than being all mad about it.

It might be more construtive but it don't feel so good :p.
I would try a reformat but I have 10s of gigabytes of sensitive information that would take a LONG time to move or replicate if I refomatted and sadly that seems the only option left available to me. As it stands I am personally staying away from the dreaded "Join Game" button and hoping a patch will fix this. It certainly leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that I should have to perform any vanilla BF2 maintenance myself. My BF2 runs clean out the box exactly to avoid this kind of scenario, and I feel somewhat cheated that no longer does it run as it should.

I haven't had a single problem. It was a bitch to un-install and re-install everything, but I saved my "profiles" folder and that saved "everything," so I didn't have to re-make macros and all of my favroites were still intact.

I agree mostly with what Wargimp said, but I do have to agree fully with this ^. The only thing that has changed on my pc is the fact that I installed 1.3. I'm now having some insane sporadic stuttering while playing (to the point of it completely freezing for a few seconds then resuming). And this isn't happening at the beginning of a round (from loading). After it does this, it usually results in a ctd. This and the pos server menu acting nuts are my two complaints. Rightfully so, if i do say so myself :p

edit: and yes I have re-installed everything since then and it hasn't stopped.

                                agreed (for the most part)

i've had some good times being squad leader lately. i like it more than people yelling "why didn't you leave and join when you died"

i always have to be like "because i'm being a good SL"
