yup, i have NEVER had any issues with any patches that have come out. no crashes. no fails. nothing.

as for squad team work, im all for it. even before the patch, i worked with my squads, if im a medic i will juke and jive across the battlefield with tanks and APCs shooting at me so that i can revive my squad leader. some of my favorite rounds have been with squads that stuck together and supported each other.

CTD's are caused by an unstable pc. and the reasons for that are:

ram
drivers
overheating
cpu overclocked without proper stability testing

prime95 and memtestx86+ will soon show up all the ****s blaming this game for their CTD's.
the game is far from perfect though, the only issue i have found is after playing for 4-8hrs the game appears to stutter, but still shows max fps. havent seen many others that get that though.

Agreed. It's not a bad patch. I despise that they removed squad hopping, but otherwise I think it's great.

That wouldn't cause CTD's upon the loading of a certain specific map. I can play all other maps fine. I can even get into Mashtuur sometimes, but on occasion my game will crash upon the load of Mashtuur only.

I have set my computer to default settings and I still get random CTD's on that map.

I blame this game for my CTD's so I guess I'm a f*ggot according to your post.

I sure have heat issues with 4 x 120mm fans and all aftermarket heatsinks and coolers installed on every component including my NB...

Zip, it's been confirmed that 3rd party ranking apps have caused CTDs.

There's also issues with flakey patching caused by background apps (especially virus scaners) and modified content.

Right... things that didn't cause crashed before this patch now do. I don't have any third party ranking software installed. I blame the patch.

now thats all in the same sentance so there for there on about the patch that went into the servers in the first place!
AN IT ALSO SAYS THAT THE GS SERVER AN BATTLEFIELD SERVERS WERE UPDATED!
if the patch that was updated to the servers was running ok then we wouldnt be having these problems.
there for it is the patch's error not the server,the servers get updated with the patch prior to us getting it.
ever heard the saying **** roles down hill,

Have you tried re-installing the full patch?
Cleared your cashe?
Run a full scan for garbage apps?
Checked your background processes?

Wish I could say I agree, but I disagree with you Wargimp.

Squad teamwork for clan members, with hopping removed, is fine for match play, but expecting a bunch of pub all stars that aren't on the same Ventrilo or TS to work together, is a joke. It will NEVER be like it is with a team of 6 guys all on the same page, vs 6 guys not able to communicate. Squad hopping alleviated some of that lack of communication in pubs and made it fun for many of us.

Its not just people's PCs, the game DEF has something to do with it.

I mean in other games I have played roughly the same amount of time as bf2 with the same system requirements and such, I might get 1 or 2 CTD in 400 hrs time.

In bf2, out of my 400 hrs playing time, I probably literally have several THOUSAND CTD and connection bugs (which I consider the same thing even though they aren't...)

FYI my connection is perfectly stable and yet I get connection problems several times a round on nearly every server I play on....and so do alot of other ppl....

Don't tell me this game runs fine, it doesn't....

Not a bad patch?? The server browser went from bad to HORRIFIC. How the heck can you say it isn't bad?? You can't see the server name or IP while in game anymore to let your friends know where you are playing...that's not bad??? What has to happen to this game to make it so it's 'bad'?? How much do they have to screw up in your eyes for you to admit that they totally borked this patch???

It's one thing to say you like the game, and defend it to the fullest, that's fine. The above statement is just 100% false on your part.

Pretty much what he said....its almost impossible to get random people in public ranked server to work together...you just can't expect random people to work with each other well enough to keep the SL alive...

Even for those of you with ZERO problems bug wise with the patch (not counting the ones before 1.3) a company like EA/DICE should make sure the patch works well and is bug free for everyones (well NEARLY everyones) PCs, not just the lucky few with uber PCs, or just happen to be lucky....

Patches are supposed to help everyone, not just a few...

Explain to me how I had TWO CTD's since DAY ONE of BF2 release, and since 1.3, I have had ELEVEN CTD's. Don't tell me it's my computer, it's not.

I keep my gaming rig in excellent shape, and I have ZERO problems with any other games. I don't even run a browser on my gaming rig, so I don't inadvertantly download a bunch of spyware.

For you math wizards, I think that equates to roughly a %825 increase in game crashes.
