Re: Setting some facts straight.
Wargimp,
Ok so Moongamers, strafeRight, RAW, ect...we're all idiots that don't know how to run a server? And our hosts don't know how to patch? Mmk...now let me set the facts straight:
Your RR server has crashed at least three times just today. Notice those spikes in your GM monitor where over half your clients leave? That's a crash...it fills back up slowly but shortly thereafter, boom, you have another crash. Even the worst maps, which you don't have in rotation, don't cause such mass exodus.
Anyone remember 'Baghdad Bob'? "The Americans are NOT coming! We have fought them off back to their own lands!" Meanwhile M1A's are rolling in behind him.
I can understand clients not having problems...I patched fine on my client...but don't even attempt to say the server package is not broken and those of us who take this very seriously don't know what we're doing. I assure you, most of us are quite capable hosts, admins, programmers, ect, and can smell a turd when one is dropped onto a cold tile floor.
