There have been discussions about this on the Qtracker support forum, try there:

once the new version comes out (very soon) it will have bandwidth options. the dev's been working hard at fixing the modem reset issue.

it's just WAY too slow for me. I'm not going to wait 15 minutes for it to load all the servers before I can even find a server to play on. and then even when it did finish loading I still couldn't get it to see the server I usually play on. Filters is another thing. have drop down menus, not commands that you need to be a computer programmer to write.

Man, once you get a good list of favourites though, this app ROCKS!

So freakin' fast, easy, and reliable.

Even then..it doesn't take very long to get a full and complete list (without anything filtered).

I've noticed the pings on this thing show up a lot lower than in the game browser. in the game the lowest pings I see on servers is like 50. in this app I see a few down as low as 30.

That's because the in-game browser sucks. I wouldn't trust it, period.

hm it really shouldnt take 15 minutes to load a server list. what type of internet connection & speeds do you have? do you have the regions filter set correctly in the setup?

If you consider 2-8 MB valuable...

Man...3rd party broswers have made my BF2 experience a million times more enjoyable.

You get more servers, reliable ping values, great filters, able to create CUSTOM filters, the ability to 'wait in line' if a server is full, friend/buddy lists...the list goes on.

ok Talus I got it working better. well actually it's just that I got a decent amount of favorites so it doesn't take long at all. but here's a question. I have my co worker on my "buddy list" but it doesn't find him unless it has already seen the server he's on. and twice now I've found him using the BF2s tracker and then had to go back to qtracker and add that server. what could I be doing wrong that it's not seeing these servers? the onyl filters I got is the punkbuster, ranked and no password. all of which these fall under with no problems. Thanks.

I was under the impression that the Friend's tracker only worked if you scanned the server he is on.

Therefore, if your friend is NOT playing on one of your favourites, you'd have to do a full server scan to pick him up.

You'd have to ask the author ron.mercer on the Qtracker forums.
