check the qtracker forums > filters > bf2 thread. several filters have been released including Jalalabad, infantry only, and someone has the jalalabad mapshot out.

Thanks, I appriciate these filters! I made my own for "populated only" which would be a great one to add to your group signa. I helps clear out all the 1000s of empty servers.

Again thanks Talus and Signa, 1.3 broke my autologon tools and this has worked out well for me.

fyi: qtracker comes with a populated filter. its under 'all games' and is named 'servers with players on them'.

LOL, OK I will check that out.

Does QTracker have a favorites folder option? Some of my other favorite autoloader software had a small list of favorites so you did not have to pull the whole list down to view a couple choices.

oh yes. you can create a new folder under any 'game' and name it what ever you like. then keep your favorite servers there. actually you can create as many folders as you like.

my qtracker doesnt seem to work!
it always shows no items to display!
i dont have filters cos i presses disable all.
is there something i am missing?
I know i sudnt ask here, but i trust this place more than the qtracker forums...
please help!

anyhow, right click on the 'internet games' under BF2 and choose "find internet games".

Just decided to use QT today cos finally had enuf of the ingame browser. A quick question....

usually the servers i play in asia are quite busy and are often constantly full...when i see a space available i try to connect via QT......it boots up BF2 and by the time it logs in etc i will get "the server is full message" cos it takes too long......i tried having BF2 already open but it doesnt seem to work...Am i doing something wrong??

no you are doing it right. that happens to me sometimes if the server fills up before you can acutally join. to try and join faster you can edit your 'general.con' file using notepad. you can find it in /my documents/BF2/profiles/000x/ (with x being the profile you normally use).
when you edit the file, look at the middle of the file for your recently joined servers or favorite servers:
GeneralSettings.addServerHistory ....
delete those lines and then save the file. you will now load into bf2 faster.

Thanks for the response...The reason i have tried QT is because when i try to connect to most of my favourites i get the message "you have failed to connect. Please check your network connections and retry" It lets me connect to some other servers though. First, thought it may be firewall related but can find no logs of a block and still does after disabling FW.

More and more servers are giving me this error (used to be 1 now its about 6). So figured the BF browser maybe causing the error. However, difficult to test this theory cos QT is not finding the EATW servers (EA Taiwan) which were the main culprits. However, will need to fiddle with QT a little to get used to it.

Also not sure which are the best settings...I throttled the connection back to 28kb/s cos i read on this forum that QT can be a bandwidth hog but now it seems much slower (so might put it back 6mb/s where it was originally). Also turned Auto-refresh off because this thread said that was best????? Finally i have set QT to close down after connection.

Although I know how to use this tool for some reason it will not find all servers
I did not make any rules.
When I go to the crapy ingame filter I see 30 % more servers with peeps on it.

The region filters are tricky. Make sure you turn them all on in the settings. Then make sure you turn all the game filters off(there's a toolbar button for that).
