I would think that competitive clans host a very small percentage of all the servers.

olmost 99% clans are competive

Personally,

I play in clan matches. I've seen just about every exploit/dirty trick used. All the "rules" that pub servers try to enforceare actively broken in matches it seems. Base-raping, bunny-hopping, kamikaze: jets, choppers, jeeps, buggies, etc.

I personally hate the fact that these are used as legit tactics in matches. Although I will jihad jeep if I'm getting base-raped!

I've seen ALOT of whiny matchies (I won't say clannies, as I am one who actually likes fair-play like alot of others I know and play with) spewing about all the patches and changes and how they affect match play. funny, they usually make it a better overall experience, but by removing something that allows for easier kills, something alot of these suppossed "l33t" players sure don't want!

The best thing to happen for matches was the bunny-hopping & dolphin-diving going away!

Take out squad-hopping and you'll really get some matches that actually require skill, stealth, coordination and team-play.

We sure wouldn't want that would we? Sheesh!

exactly, the problem is that ea keeps listening to the wrong ppl, and doing what they want, transforming BF into a kiddy game, and because of that i'm moving to quake wars.

You just said BF is a kiddy game, and you are going to play anything that has Quake in the title? Go frag someone until you discover the definition of irony..

there are many people with more accounts then only 1.
I got 6 accounts

and there are around 15K in the evening on battlefield 2 servers so
I think it huge amout of voters who voted for this Petition
also rember the polls on TBF2 and EA UK forums.

the avarge was 75% was against this patch detail

Oh I know! I'll just start calling other people NOOBs to make my voice heard and that way I can give a very mature and good image of myself when DICE reads my posts in BF2-forums! Better yet, I'll even threaten to quit playing BF2 (which I hate oh-so-much already!1) if they change ANY gameplay mechanics in the future patches! HAH!

Exploits?

Squad hopping, nade spamming, indestructible black hawk (gone now), engineer's in taks rollnig in formation (can engineer's really repair while driving? Come on!). Those are some of the one's I've seen. Also hiding in building exploits (only seen that once, but it is an exploit).

now, exploit is a self-defining term in some cases. I see squad hopping as an exploit, and so does EA. But other's don't. Some might see engineer columns as OK. I think it's crap. Engineer's should have to get out to fix. These are open to opinion and arguing, but the bottom line is this: EA makes the game, so they make the rules.

I highly doubt that.

What is the main BF2 competition? How many different clans play in that competition?

How many servers are there currently up?

That should give you some idea how much the competitive clans make up of the BF2 active player community.

After that you can take into account how many people are in that clan. A clan of 10 people that plays competitivly can hardly hold the same weight as a gaming group of 200 - 400 people with 50 playing BF2.

Unfortunately, petty petitions cant change a huge corporation like EA's mind :cry: Now if we had a couple million.... :laugh:

This is true. I've never believed these petitions can have an effect.

I do agree that you should keep squad hopping though. Squads are more effective because of it. Only on the rare occasion you'll have a squad leader acting as a spawn point. Mostly when clans are all together in one server. *** clans sticking together like little girls.
