lol I dont squad hop but I do leave and join the same squad to spawn on people.

I've been looking at 2142, and listening about it. It sounds like they got some good ideas, a 'spawn beacon'. Either way squad hopping, and even spawning period is apart of BF2. To many have learned to like it. I never seen it is a problem sometimes it even means more kills. Without squad hopping wake island will be sucky...

I am not one that jumps from squad to squad, but I do like I said leave my squad and rejoin it to spawn on my clan mate or something in those lines.

I have been posting on this forum regularly for a long time and never once, until it came out, did I read any complaint about squad hopping. They are not "nerfing" squad hopping because some people complained. They are taking squad hopping out because they view it as an exploit of the squad system that they set up. They have explicitly said this.

In fact, I think the nerf is allowing squad hopping. It makes it so you have to think less. . . just pull up the squad screen and pick the most suitable spawn point for you. It doesn't require you to pay extra attention to your SL, it doesn't make the SL try to stay alive at all costs.

Basically, you want the game to be easy for you. You don't want to have to think. BF2 is about sqaud play. Deal with it.

and there are around 15K in the evening on battlefield 2 servers so
I think it huge amout of voters who voted for this Petition
also rember the polls on TBF2 and EA UK forums.
Accounts and amount of activity on ranked servers means nothing. There were well over 1 million copies of this game sold so 10,000 people = <1% so no, it is really a tiny number.

You want the real numbers. Here you go:
            1% Want squad hopping
            1% Don't want spuad hopping
98% Don't give a flaming ****, accept that they have no control unless they learn to mod, play the game they are given and adapt as needed.

Want to guess which group I'm in?

If the clan-boys want to play clan matches with old rules, mod a version of the game to fit whatever you want it to be... And I'll say it again, if these elite(ist) clannies think something is "bad for the game" that strongly re-affirms that it probably isnt.

Clan matches and your precious ladders are less than 1% of total play for BF2 yet you think 10,000+ votes is a significant number.

                  Wake up.

They should do a poll on how effetive polls are. From what I have seen, from evey game where people said 'I will quit because of this', or 'This will make the competitive clans leave', etc, etc, I would say that 0% have worked, and 0% have left.

Squad hopping was not taken out because people whined, it was taken out because it was not working as they intended it to work.

You say that they are making it a kiddie game, and yet the game will be harder.

As of March 31st, BF2 had sold 2 090 000 copies. If you do the math, only 0.49% of the BF2 players have signed the petition - which renders the whole petition useless.

Ah, ya. Since when are internet petitions considered valid? I'd like to see the corresponding (and probably also bogus) petition to have the squad hopping exploit (yes, exploit) removed.

Who the hell do you think hosts the public servers? If you lose clan support you lose your serverbase.

I would think that competitive clans host a very small percentage of all the servers.
