I think people like awards purely because it displays what areas they have put effort into. I believe that some of the awards like expert helicopter and aviator should have remained the same because if you wanted them you really had to specialise in them. Say you had the expert helicopter badge at this stage - I dont kow about you but I'd assume theyre good in the chopper :P
All that was really needed was to switch the rank requirements (awards) for major and brigadier general as im nearly colonel and I have pretty much all the expert kit combat badges.
However, as someone mentioned above, the drop in requirements is good for a number of awards including the knife ones because it removes the 'need' to stat pad.
200 wins for 25000 points is about right I think. Assuming you got 100 pts per round that'd be 20000pts from 200 wins.
