    Valve Announces Counter-Strike 2

Valve's massively popular FPS gets an engine upgrade and a test starting today.

Valve officially announced Counter-Strike 2 today after weeks of teases, speculation, and rumors. The developer calls this "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike's history" and I'm inclined to believe it.

Counter-Strike 2 will launch to everyone starting in Summer of 2023. Counter-Strike 2 will be a free upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some Counter-Strike:...

New 'COUNTER STRIKE' and 'CS2' Trademarks Filed by Valve

New trademarks by Valve sure do seem to be hinting at something. But what ever could it be?

March really started off with a bang for Counter-Strike fans when Nvidia included references to something called Counter-Strike 2. Specifically, the drivers starting with 531.18 included profiles for "Counter-strike 2 (cs2.exe)" and "Counter-strike 2 (csgos2.exe)."

A Short Video from Valve's Portal VR Demo

Maximum PC took some footage from a portion of Valve's talk on virtual reality. During the talk, they showed off a short "Aperture Science VR Demo." It's important to note here that while we believe this is running on Source 2 (the lighting could be a big sign of this), it was not specifically announced as running on Source 2.

Even if it wasn't Source 2, the fact that it's VIRTUAL REALITY should be awesome enough for anybody!...
