A new look at gameplay from the Unreal Engine 5 powered title.

This isn't quite the gameplay footage you were looking for, but it is presented in the first-person perspective. That's got to count for something, right? A new teaser trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was just released. With it comes a fresh look at the Zone and the eerie atmosphere that surrounds it.

RIP X-Ray

There was a small update on the development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 made today via the game's official Twitter account. Instead of utilizing the X-Ray Engine, or at least a highly updated version of it, they will instead be going with Unreal Engine.

The X-Ray Engine was the 3D game engine created by GSC Game World. The engine was used to power the first three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles: Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat.

It looks like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was announced today. All that was revealed today was the fact that it will eventually be a game but it won't be released until 2021. There's also a website for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 but it doesn't have much of anything on it. There is literally no other information released yet for the game.
