Earlier today, the Hello Games Twitter account Tweeted out that "No Man's Sky was a mistake" to the public. The Tweet came via their linked LinkedIn account leading many to doubt the validity of such a statement actually coming from someone at Hello Games. The Twitter account was set to private shortly after the posting, though an image of the Tweet can be seen above. in NewsNo Man's Sky is a Massive Disappointment
About as deep and as entertaining as a puddle.
I did something a bit different with my "Week in Review" this week for No Man's Sky. Instead of just writing up a few sentences about why I think the game is a massive disappointment, I decided to share my unedited rant/thoughts about the game. I recorded this last night as part of my Twitch stream of World of Warcraft. Why was I playing WoW and not No Man's Sky while talking about No Man's Sky? Well, it's simply because No Man's... -

in NewsPSA: No Man's Sky on PC is a Technical Dumpster Fire
It seems as though the PC release of No Man's Sky is a bit of a clusterfuck right now. People all over are reporting technical issues that range from being unable to play the game to getting far below expected performance even on the latest and greatest video cards.
A "PC Performance Thread" on NeoGAF has generated literally hundreds of replies in the past few hours from people encountering stuttering, a 30fps cap, ALT+TAB not working, a complete lack of anisotropic filtering,... -

in NewsDid Sean Murray of Hello Games Lie About Meeting Others in No Man's Sky?
The short answer seems to be "yes" to the question posed in the above headline. The longer answer seems to be "yes, but with some potential caveats."
Last night, No Man's Sky was released on the PlayStation 4 (PC release is on Friday). Players all over flocked to the game to explore the near countless number of worlds, never really expecting to run into another player. However, two streamers found that they were on the same planet! They made efforts to meet up with each other,... -

in NewsNo Man's Sky Officially Delayed Until August 9
Sean Murray of Hello Games confirmed the rumor that No Man's Sky will be delayed. A new posting on the PlayStation Blog confirms an August 9 release date in North America.
However, as we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special. After a short delay, No Man’s Sky will launch in North America on August 9... -
