i have to say, i love SF. its soooo much fun. i cant go back to playing pure vanilla. i look forward to these booster packs if you can get them in the shops. if not il download one to see how it works. if it doesnt work il not buy the second. I also look forward to the mods coming out too. I get the best of both worlds.

          Nice!

Cheap, inexpensive ways to boost the already large BF2 following.
          Awesome!

10$ is a drop in the bucket if you ask me. Hell 20$ isn't so bad either.

Heaven forbid EA try to make a profit. What, should they just give everything away? Not a good business model in case you were sleeping during your Econ 101 class.

So many of you guys were complaining about how much SF cost and now EA has come up with an easy solution that provides more content for next to nothing and you still bitch about it.

Do us all a favor and go play something else.

Like Ive said before EA has become weapons dealers. Yeah they only sell to BF2 players, but thats what makes money for them. So when the booster packs come out and I buy them I will get the new nuclear weapons and you wont (just kidding, I dont know what weapons are in the packs). So dont come on here complaining that you got nuked because you wouldnt spend ten bucks, and yes I am being sarcastic but thats in a nut shell how they plan to get you to buy thier product. Nut shell...LOL.....Red

                First of all!
Get the game patched but noo they most get more $$$$$$

second: give us a nice map pack of 4 maps and don't *^&^$..... say Bf2 has 32 maps because the differtent sizes

A map for me = Is a map with not differnt size but a other everioment.

Well if a booster pack would include new gamemodes instead of the boring-me-to-hell-merry-go-around gamemode that all BF2 maps have then I might consider getting it.

We are supporting the morals of gamers. We should had a DC mod by now, But EA withheld the mod tools for sometime and everyone lost interest in modding

Not to forget none of the mods wanna collaborate or share each other code

Lost interest in modding -- so I guess the almost daily mod updates are fabricated? Or mabye it's an EA conspiracy?

Re: Two BF2 'Booster Packs' Announced

(Hm, I'd have sworn I posted in this thread already. Did my post get deleted, for some reason? 0.o)

I really don't mind the idea of smaller, cheaper expansion packs, as long as they're not rediculously weak... They better have a couple of maps in new, interesting scenarios, though. I really wouldn't feel much like paying for yet another generic, middle-eastern, urban, infantry map.. :) Something like a whole new faction with a whole new set of weapons would be really cool and interesting, like (for example) an Indian or Brazilian army or something, with some cool new toys people haven't seen it twelve dozen different games already.
Also, I think that really large vehicle maps are what many people would like to see more of. Like the old El Alamein or some of the huge FH maps, that kind of thing. More naval combat could be cool as well. :)

I really hope they give out some more maps for free for the core BF2 game, as well. Doesn't seem likely, but who knows.. I think EA/Dice could really use the added goodwill among the members of the BF community at this point. If they up the greedy behaviour much more, they're likely to end up with a very large part of the current BF2 gamers antagonized and unwilling to pay for more BF products. Heck, I know several old BF42 players in that category already..

Even something as simple as a competition for a community mappack to be added to the ranked servers would be an extremely cool thing, and relatively cheap and easy.

I nominate this person to be the first reassigned to another game, say, Soldner: Secret Wars. Have fun!

Typical, they are mostly talking about revenues & prices, not about the game. They are more interested in getting our money than giving us something.
