Hmmm, I don't know which was longer, d/l'ing steam or finally getting enough sense to uninstall that POS. I couldn't play ONE GAME. Not HL, not CS. Oh wait, wait, what was the advantage to using steam....? Someone deserves an ass-punch for my time and frustration.

AFTER 3 DAYS OF HELL!!!!
ok i will share some tips with u guys:
1. if u have boardband, PLZ dl the the steam installer with the cache files inside which is the one that that 370mb version.
2. if u r using dail up, yur screwed... But dont give up hope! go back in a couble of weeks to setup steam, u will have amuch better time.
3. the server is crowed as hell so dont get the 500kb version
4. yur probaly going to uninstall and install alot of times so be patient.
5. when u get to the part where it covert the files to steam cache. WARNING if u bail out because u think there is an error uninstall the program and install it again because if u bail out on that time, the cs will be coruputed and unusable even if u see the cs sign on the games list brighten. dont waste yur time waiting for "loading cs" sign because it agnt goign to happen.
6. On the box where u can pick the games to be on yur "my games list" just pick CS or halflife because those are the ONLY files u currently need. DL the rest of the crap later when the servers r less overcrowed.THIS WILL SPEEDUP THE PROCESS
