I double clicked a server name and then it says "preparing to play counter strike" then it comes up with "game temporarily unavailable". can someone plz tell me why? :) thankyou

My bullshit guide to playing any mod on Steam



Right here is how to add other mods to Steam, listen closly...



Open up Steam



Wait until it installs God knows what



Click on the Servers button, or open the Servers window.



Change the filter to <Any> so it will search for any game server.



Fidn a mod that is not CS, DOD, TFC, HL, OP4, HLDM. Like a TS server or a Firearms server.



It will say do you want to add new mods to your pc, something like that.



Steam will scan your pc for CS maps, if it finds any it will ask you do you want to add such and such map with a tick box for each map.



Steam will then scan your pc for other HL mods, if it finds any it will ask you if you want to add them with a tick box for each. Steam will then convert these mods to the Steam cache, which is what I am doing right now.



Done fucking done...







Edit: It's adding all the maps and all that jazz now, it takes about 30 minutes to convert everything, depending on how many mods you have.



Edit: AAARRRGGGHHHH it didnt add the mods AARRRGGHH fucks sake i hate steam



Edit: Now it isnt loading DOD or any game for that matter, then it deleted my old HL os I cant play anything remotely HAlf-Life related
