It has always been like that :) At least among all my steamy friends in my surroundings. I couldn't understand what they did wrong. Until now.

i have a problem with steam, i downloaded it installed it and it works now. Kind of. it freezes a lot. the problem is that when i try to play counterstrike through it, it says i have to download it first(350mb) well as soon as i say ok the whole thing crashes. do u guys have the same thing too or have u got it to work?

I love Steam. It's like everything great rolled into one. In fact I made a list about my favorite things about Steam. Here it is.



1.) As soon as I start CS it freezes.



2.) After that happens, and I try to close down steam, it tells me that 1 or more Steam operations are happening, and to close these.



3.) If I try to shut down Steam, ever, it continues to run, even after the little thing on the right disappears.



4.) Sometimes, when I end the process in the Task Manager window, it still continues to run.



5.) I've had to restart my computer 3 times just to get steam to restart.



6.) I like how I get 19 windows of steam up at once. It's like visiting goatse.cx, but without the asshole opening. Oh, wait...



7.) When I click simple things like "Properties", it either takes 5 minutes to load, or it freezes up entirely.



8.) Random fucking games run. Why in the shit would I want Opposing Force running the moment after I started up steam?



9.) There are no internet games visible that pass your filter settings. I didn't even have any filters on, you fucking twat.



10.) I'm forced to start Steam even when I want to do something incredibly simple that never gave me any problems, like play CS or HL.

the only problem ive had with steam today...the millions of fuckers out there slowing up my download from cable speed to 1.4kb/s 56kspeed.

Ok, how's this. I left steam on where it was pre-loading Half life disk files or something like that. I left it on for about 4 to 5 hours, and it did jack shit. Damn.

My steam works fine now. The only complaint I have is that they took the bots out. That is fucking shocking VALVe. Absolutely shocking. What the FUCK are you thinking? That we'll buy Condition Zero just to play against bots? CZ is crap, that's your fault VALVe for even giving it to shitty ritual. No CS player who has played the game for longer that 6 months will even think about getting CZ.
