From what I've gathered elsewhere, 1.6 won't be going final until a couple of weeks from now. But the above quote makes me wonder. I realize it doesn't say final, but it doesn't say beta either...guess I'll just have to wait and see.

there stands that you have to have a internet connection i you trow a lan party, how sick is that? I cant hold a lan without internet if i want to play counter-strike? That means that every lan without internet cant play hl and the mods.

Don't worry about the internet-connection 'requirement'. Valve Software (os are they a Corporation now?) have it sorted.

no.



first of all that's because he'll get a 'cd-key has already been used' error, and also because steamIDs will be given out in sequential order. that means the first person to sign up (doesn't matter what his cd-key is) will get steamID of 1 or whatever they start at, and the next person to sign up after him would get the next steamID - in this case 2.
