Steam will include the official, non-beta version of CS, whichever that happens to be when they make it mandatory.

Any .wad files usually go in the \cstrike\ directory, and maps (the .bsp files) very obviously go in the \cstrike\maps\ directory. You can probably figure out the rest.

Anyone know what time 11 AM PST is in Arizona. I know we don't do day light savings so sometimes we are the same as California and sometimes and hour ahead. Anyone know where Arizona is at right now? I don't want to have to get up a hour earlier if I don't have to. :P



Also is it just me or does anyone else have the site (csnation) load up weird and bee all stretched down?

It is: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\(your email address here)\counter-strike\cstrike\maps. That might all chage with the update though, so I wouldnt go spending too much time loading stuff on. If you copy them to your 1.5 maps folder, they should carry over with the conversion tool. *crosses fingers* Or you can create an outline of the cs directory structure with empty folders and just put them in there and copy them over.

i though it was final 1.6 (not really final as it will be updated later, but 'really offically not a beta anymore') that would be avaliable tomorrow, ie. with most of the major bugs ironed out. i could be wrong though, but that's the impression i was given. no hard feelings.



one thing i know for sure is that i gotta get home from school really fast and get myself a low steamID, or else i can just /part life. or was that /sarcasm? i really don't quite remember anymore. hmph.

I've been banned from a 7 server cluster of 10-30 ping cs servers(TFZ) for over a year now. They're the only servers I get really good ping too because they're hosted by my internet service. Yay, I can have really good ping again.
