gonna be fun later, look at the state of the steam site atm, with all that bandwith, imagine what it will be like in a few hours. I would imagine they are trying to send the client to a number of mirrors, and updating the files on all of there content providers.

that status info is outdated, they will set up a ton of content servers, there should be no problems at all with brandwith, except for the steam site
I think fileplanet and big sites will post it at 11, so everyone can mirror it fast while valve office's net is dieing.Comment

It's not 11PST, it's 11PDT (daylight savings). That means 6pm GMT, not 7pm.
Either way, look at the time of my post to the left
1 hour and 40 minutes from then, no matter where you live.
