I wasn't expecting it to take "them" very long, anyway. After all, there's no VAC for the CS: Source beta as of yet.
That does. Didn't take them long, did it?
I can imagine cheats won't be as satisfying anymore, what with the ragdoll effects and such. Most of the fun of cheating for me, back when I did it(a long time ago---don't ask), was getting headshot after headshot. In CS:S, headshots just don't look cool anymore. It's hard to even tell whether you've made a headshot until you look in the top right corner. :\Comment

That was the funniest!

They cant anticipate every startup bug that is going to occur once they put the game out to the masses, all of whom have different computer configurations. + add to the fact that not all crashes are startup crashes.
start up bugs should have been fixed in the alpha, not the betahow long has source engine been in dev? if this is simply a cs:s mod bug, then it shouldn't be extremely difficult to fix.
It doesnt matter how long the engine has been in development there will always be bugs.have you seen the changelog? if they don't notice sv_pauseable is set to 1 by default by now, what other bugs have they overlooked?
sv_pausable is set to 0 by defaults now. There is much more to programming a game or a mod than you will ever know. Sometimes small things like this get passed up. Dont use it to judge whether or not these people are competent programmers.
Dont judge someone's abilities when you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.Comment

sure sure. the aim is perfect right? I am really starting to lean to not buying this game...first the lying, then the netcode is horrible, now more lying about the release. Im almost over it. fix the damn aim/netcode before the beta is over or lose a ton of buyers...
