Hopefully the first thing fixed will be the crash to desktop error. It seems to run rampant right now.



Oh well, kudos to valve for getting an update out this quick. After all, testing and redoing work is what betas are meant to do.

As of yesterday, a post by Gabe Newell at the HL2 Fallout boards stated that the HL2 preload would begin tonight. It may come later or perhaps after these issues with the beta are sorted out.



There's really no rush for the HL2 content as you still wouldn't be able to play for a while yet.

i just wanna know what they plan on fixing with CS:S beta. what alot of people have been complaining about for some reason is how fake the footsteps sound at some parts.

HL/2 pre-load will begin tomorrow. It was ready yesterday, but we decided to use the bandwidth to get out the VST first since I get pelted with zillions of questions from people asking how their PC will run Half-Life 2

Plus he said it was already done. So just sent it out please, I like to see it too.

i'd think the half-life 2 preload is delayed until atleast tomorrow, or maybe next monday but i'd think they want to let it preload over the weekend so by next week they can start pumping out cs:source updates without worrying about the preload screwing up the bandwidth available for updates as much.
