I tried playing it and it went smoothly. CS 1.4 will probably be THE BEST CS release ever. The jumping isn't that bad, sure it slows you down, but it's not like jumping repeatedly made you faster in the first place...

The key generator doesnt seem to work. I keep getting an error everytime I launch it; "...is not a valid win32 application."

It's a console app. Run in some sort of dos window. Sounds like a bad download.

Bah, tried to open it in MS-DOS and it crashed MS-Dos. I've downloaded it tons of time over and over again already and it still doesnt work even from all four different servers.

DId you get it off of fileplanet?Delete it and then download it again.I know there is a really long wait but I think this should work.

I think the boys at valve are working on a web-based version of the ******, so you only have to download the Steam setup.
