img lad to hear that so many people are positive about this new version, even if its just in beta stages. before everyone had it they were bitching aboutthe jumping changes, and now everyone is saying it isnt so bad and how it will be a great release. go figure.

Rizzuh u are awsome this site is a "news" site and u give it to us i dont see what the problem is with all those beta testers that got there e-mail yesterday im sure they only did that because they wanted to go public anyway and to let the people who signed up feel that they were acknowledged and completly left out as for 1.4 its awsome just i h8 that damn dl-ing it every time u wanna enter a server, dead bodies sticking around was a gr8 addition and the jumping stuff was needed as far as im concerned cs aint like as realistic as it should be although as long as they keep it more fictional then reainbow 6 im a happy customer =) keep up the good work rizzah
PS. SOTD and POTD are one of my fav things about this site because i always kno its gonna be a funny pic of awsome skin dont blow that portion of cs-nation plz (i have noticed that deagle skin has been there a while now) THNX!!Comment

Um, not to be a complete idiot, but I used Rizzuh's **awesome** CS helper to set up meh binds for my 1.3... How can I transfer those to the 1.4 beta? I think I know but as the folder setup in the Steamcache directory is a little different... I dunno. I'm sure it's prolly easy. Help meh! ThanksComment

Yes. Install the .exe to your C:\SteamCache\Counter-Strike\cstrike\ folder. It should work fine, except the VGUI, which won't work (in game binding might fail, so set up your binds or import your current config to the cstrike dir asap).Comment

Well that was pretty cool. I appreciate the fact that valve made it public for everyone to try and not just random people that sent in emails. I love all the things they've changed and cant find one thing wrong with the gameplay at all. Well except the para whores but im sure they'll change that. /me crosses fingers and hopes they do
However, what is with the wicked lag spikes every 2 seconds on all the servers? I have a feeling i know what its from and would like rizzuh or someone whos in the know to tell me if im correct. I think its from steam and all the caching that has to be done when playing it for the first time. Know i dont think everytime you join a server it has to cache but i know it has to cache the first time playing for the day. Atleast in my case it did. It cached the first time i tryed it and then i quit to windows and started it again and it cached when i joined the first and second servers but it didnt on the third. If steam is released along with 1.4 when everything is done can we expect the same lag from people playing cs for the first time of the day? I think steam would be a great way to eliminate cheats by itself along side whatever valves anti-cheat is but not with the side effects i think its causing.Comment
