CS 1.4 sux mah BALLS do you know why? cuz cs 1.3 was good, you took the bunnyhop out fine... now whats this crud you make people slow down while jumping? what is gonna happen when u jump out of doorways?!? and are goin all slow! your gonna get shot to all hell thats what

Sorryy Folks I have been Playing CS for a while now i think since beta 6 and this is by far the FUcking worst CS Yet. I mean COME on u cant bunny hop this takes a fun out of it for the skilled players and That just sucks.... BuT atleast there will be ALOT Less 56kers and there Invisiblity ATtacks!!! i just think 1.4 could of been alot better..

Interesting, my problems seem to be fairly infrequent, and since it is a BETA and not a release, I don't why understand all the flamers. Unless it's just lack of sufficient verbal skills that prevents you from completing an entire sentence?



I have noted that TRACKER doesn't do a good job of finding, holding, pinging, or updating server status. More often than not I get into a server to find it's full - when a refreshed TRACKER told me 50% of the spots were open. I may have to resort to All Seeing Eye, which is more stable and more accurately displays server status.



Also, I'm having issues with needing to "Fix Cache" if I lose a server in-game, or exit in an otherwise non-normal fashion. Also happens when I get held out of a full server.



I'm still happy with the change in jumping - Bunny Hopping was just to far outside of the spirit of the game ,and too Quake-like. I agree though, that jumping twice, or maybe three times, before a slow down might be better. But it may need to be time based, given that a hop=walk=hop=walk script would be pretty easy to create. I have to use the expanded jump (crouch+jump) more often that in the past. It just takes getting used to.



As for the comments on Lag, Computer Lock Ups, etc. I have to believe a large portion of that could be related to the computer set-up. I've seen 100's of gamer computers, and re-built the OS's in many of them. Rarely did I find one that was correctly built from the OS up through the hardware. As soon as it was cleaned up - problems went away.



If anyone having fits over issues like this would take some time to clean their systems, get all the appropriate updates from MS, Graphic Card manuf., and apply Motherboard and Bios updates, you would find that a vast majority of the problems will disappear. Normally it's a lack of understanding of how these things really go together that cause a majority of the problems.



A game machine tends to be under a lot more stress that the average business machine. It often is more sensitive to small changes, added programs, the weather, how you hold your mouth when you play, etc. So do keep looking for something funky, it may be between the chair and the keyboard.



A good analyst will understand that his best skill is the ability to look for answers, not expecting that he "knows" all the answers. Absence of proof to the contrary, does not prove the issue.



Anyway, the worst configured machines usually belong to the loudest yelper's. (LoL)

Hey Guys, I've been playing 1.4 for about a day now and here's

what I found out about the weapons.

MP5 seems more accurate

M4 is pretty much the same

Scout and AWP are pretty much the same except I don't hit people

as often (maybe it's because of the lag)

FN90 and UMP45 are more deadly

SG552 and AUG seem less accurate

AK-47 is less accurate (I get less headshots/kills)

Terrorist Sniper Rifle seems more beefed up

Haven't played with the CT Auto Sniper Rifle

The pistols are more powerful (I'm getting killed

more often by pistols)

i tried to download cs 1.4 but everytime i download it and try to open it or unzip it, it keeps sayin

can't creat output file: C:\DOCUME~1\John\Locals~\Temp\Uninstall.exe

you guy know how to fix it or get it not to say that?

I've got the beta for around 1 month now, and it really rocks. To all of you who're disapointed about the anti-cheat system. It's not finished yet. I think it'll be there in the next update.



To all of you who doesn't feel special anymore. Why are you so pissed off? you havn't lost anything. You've just got more people to play with. And what's so bad about that?

I know there're some spammers and some cheaters out there, but you'll be able to have a normal conversation if you act normally yourself.
