CS 1.4 BETA!

I just hope they get the cheating issue solved, some guy said that they took out the bunnyhop out in cs1.3, but i've seen guys do it many times, it comes with the OGC package. And FFS stop whining about how "this and that" cuz the ppl who gave us CS are working their asses off for you ungrateful goons : P

everytime i try to install it, i put in the key that the ****** gives me as my special code crap but it dont work, it says that my key is wrong and i put in the key letter for letter

you guys from valve shouldnt have taken off the jumping part.........that was pretty cool...........now 1.4 has turn really gay

**- They put the god damn "slow-jump", now people are scared to attack and then they camp like shit-heads.

Well, enough of complaining...let's see if this game's nice to play...



**- You're always the first one to die? Well, don't cry boy, you can use the Spectator option like you want to see the people curently playing! There's an overview of the map...first person view mode...and lot's more.



**- Matches are very faster than 1.3, if they all rush and face together, the bullets are stronger, so YES no more waiting for "first to die" people.



**- OMG! Nice weapon names!!

CS 1.4 is really awesome, however there are still cheat(s) that work with 1.4 (aka OGC does....) So i dont know if i still want to play unless this is fixed...and i know alot of others dont either.

Ok, so I downloaded Tracker/Steam and all that yesterday, registred, got the 'Special Offer Key', no problems there.

My Cache files keep coming up as damaged, both the Tracker one when I first run Tracker, and my CS Cache file when i try to join a game.

Now, every time I try to run Tracker to play, I get the old 'This program has performed an illegal operation' message.

I tried rebooting and running it again, same deal.

I uninstalled it, re-downloaded it, and installed it again, same deal.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Uninstall Steam, *and* delete the cache file it creates at installation, then run the setup again, that works.



Except, while running through the Tracker setup, it cannot connect to any Tracker Servers.

I know I'm online, or I couldn't post this, so are the Tracker Servers down, or am I screwed yet again ?? :)

Oh yeah, firewall isn't an issue....

Ummm for those of you guys that played already, I cant get the picture-in-picture thing working right, all i get is a rectangle on my screen that has nothin in it

I have contacts with inside people from the steam project, and I asked the same question to my contact, he said that they keep having server issues with tracker, and it really needs optimization before its inserted fully thru CS.

About the 56k thing...one of the initial requirments for the beta is that you need a broadband connection. I know allot of you guys with 56k connections want to try it, but please don't as it lags the piss out of the servers if you actually have the patience to try it on a 56k. I know I know...but you want to play....to bad. Plus I would have to kill you.
