  • Latest Patch Provides a Really Stupid Way to Bring a Certain Metal Gear Solid V Character Back

At some point during the second act for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, you end up losing a partner. Once they're gone, they're gone for good. That is unless of course you were playing on the PC and added them back by slightly modifying a file or two. If you were consoles, well that's just too damn bad.

Konami released a new patch for The Phantom Pain recently that now provides an official, albeit really stupid, way to get aforementioned character back. I'll say it right now that I'm going to stop beating around the bush here and there will be major spoilers in the rest of this news post. Got it? Good.

In the second act of The Phantom Pain, a series of events eventually leads to Quiet forever leaving the game. The latest patch adds a way for you to get her permanently back into your game. In order to do so, you need to replay mission 11, Cloaked in Silence, a total of seven times.

Yes, replay Cloaked in Silence seven times. After the sixth time, the mission will change from "REPLAY" to "REUNION." Once it's completed, she's back. There is literally no additional story to go along with this. It just kind of happens.
