  • Kojima Station Suspended as Konami Apologizes for Concerns

The regular showcase of new and upcoming features for Metal Gear Solid V and other interests of Hideo Kojima, the Kojima Station, will not air tomorrow. The next airing of the live show has been suspended until further notice.

The word comes from the newly created Japanese Metal Gear Twitter account. The account thanked all of the fans and viewers of the Kojima Station shows in the past. It also apologized for the suspension of the new episode, that was set to air tomorrow. It goes on to say that more details on when the next livestream will take place will be revealed at a later date.

The account also goes on to thank fans for their encouragement. They also apologize for the concerns that are caused by this.

I see eraser bits and faded pencil marks of anything related to Kojima Productions. Holy crap, just what on Earth did the staff do to piss Konami off? The Board can't seriously be this insane and decide to remove their existance on a whim... Did Mr. Kojima pee on everyone during a Board meeting or something? Was the staff ragingly drunk during the entire development? Or was the Board really simply insane?...... Or was Kojima Productions seriously too expensive to fit in any budget? Aren't their titles giving high enough returns to afford them?

Despite still making some serious large scale video games, Konami isn't really much of a video game company anymore. This year they're releasing what, 2 or 3 video games? I can only think of MGS5, Pro Evo 2015 came out in 2014, their focus seems to be on their japanese gambling and sports health businesses.
