Tetris Ultimate Announced

Ubisoft announced Tetris Ultimate, because why not.

With exciting modes, fun features and unique visuals, Tetris Ultimate allows 1–4 players to face off in six different game modes: Marathon, Endless, Ultra, Sprint, Battle and Power-Up Battle.

It will be released this Summer on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release coming this Fall. It will also be shown off at E3 next week.

I'm surprised they still don't have 6 player support. Thought by now The Tetris Company would notice Tetrinet and Tetrinet 2 and do something about it. Also, I'm a little confused as to why The Tetris Company chose EA for mobile versions and Ubisoft for console/PC versions?
