Although I will say, If anyone can pull off this whole non Dedicated Servers thing. IW will be the studio to do it, Evidently they felt they needed to change. This will allow IW to use their new streaming Technology and Host Transfer System.

Its not the end of the game. It does limit things a bit, but I would say the game would have a browser like the Steam games.

Personally I think the game would be better purchased on Steam than bought elsewhere, due to the integration they are doing.

402 Did also mention that Valve will be having a press release to mention what their going to be doing to help IW.

We know what we have now, It's up to us in the community to support IW and their change as much as Each one of us hates it. Its a Trend in PC gaming that I dont see slowing Down. At least IW picked a great partner in Valve and Steam to run this game.

All those that hate punkerbuster, its out. Valve Anti Cheat is in.

Switching to VAC and adding Steam integration is the only good move they made with this.

See that VAC thing bugs me. I personally dont think VAC is that great. I know PB isnt 100% either, but the tools that it has made it much more capable.

                      We shall see.

With no dedicated servers, there will be no admins. So if VAC fails to catch someone, hackers have no opposition.

That does depend on how its done. For example TF2 and CS:S are servers running VAC with admins able to kick/ban and view.

Its a good question though on how this will work. There is not enough information on how that works yet.

Using VAC is awesome... but the rest, not so awesome.

But we're not getting any modding tools or dedi servers? This game is dead for me.
