No I'm stating that your core fanbase is crying about not having a pure PR server to play on that is populated....and blaming it on the poor bastards in the CDU clan for doing a SSM. Go tell your core fanbase to gather up their finances and go get their own server...and then they can have a pure PR experience 24/7. What is so hard about that?

Also, there isn't one ounce of real world tactical realism in your mod or any mod for that matter. Now before you cry foul with that statement, understand this...I do this for a living (active duty military). So tread very lightly in any attempt to debate facts about tactical realism in "games" lol.

Its not about what's so "hard" about it. Its about people changing the mod into something its not designed to be by the DEV's. Tactical realism is the DEV's goal in the mod. It is designed for players who enjoy that, the hardcore tactical realism players.

Hey, you contradict the MANY soldiers that are fans of the PR mod. Keep in mind its a game. You seem to understand that seeing as you put games in a quote. Their goal is to bring realism as close as it can get to the BF2 universe, which they did a damn good job at - and its why they are the most popular released BF2 mod. Make sure you compare PR to vBF2.

If that were true, than why does your leader, eggman say the following??????

it actually became difficult to find a populated server that was not either heavily modified or short spawn times (this was more so the case in North America then in the EU or Asia).

So now we have a mod environment where our core audience and fanbase can't jump on and get a decent round going.

Do you need me to break it down Barney style for you?

Also, this topic is EXACTLY about what people like and dislike about PR as it's topic is a response to that. People didn't like your Vanilla PR config, they modded it, now you're mad because more people play on those modded servers.

Well, if you owned your own server, then you wouldn't be crying about having a server "where our core audience and fanbase can't jump on and get a decent round going".

TBH, I don't even know why this was posted on TotalBF2 as it's not a public problem...it's your problem, it's your core fanbase's problem, it's your PR Devs problem....but for whatever reason, your community chose to air it's problems here in public...and now the public is reacting.

If PR wants purity, stop giving out the damn server files. This way they can control everything on their own paid for servers.

                AMIRITE???????

Re: Project Reality New Procedure For Server Code

There are so many things going wrong on both sides that this is just becoming a nightmare for gamers. For someone who actually loves Tactical strategy, espionage, teamwork, communication and anything of the sort, I feel dissapointed with the reasoning of forcing people to password their servers. They are not paying you to host their server, they are paying other server companies. If YOU wan't to do something about it, take it to the company instead of leaving it in the hands of the paying customer, as they will find ways to get it modded and public.

So much for enjoying games freely anymore, heck why not bring in politics fully into the situation.

Pure PR servers are MUCH more populated than modded servers for one. In addition, most of the modded servers are for specific clans. SO these clans will fill up maybe 20 slots, then the average gamer comes in and sees its populated so they join it. Also, refer to this post.

Seeing as you don't like PR, it seems hard for you to not post completely 1 sides biased posts. Its not worth much replying to you anymore.

id of thought the same thing, especially when you consider how fragile and fragmented this tiny bf2 mod community is.

i dont think most PR guys realize just what dire straights the mod community is in since their mod has the largest player base but when half the servers disappear i think the story will change.

youd think if they are all over the ssm servers they would of beaten the false vanilla ranked servers into the ground but i see 3 of them for PR.

if they are so worried about people playing it the way it was meant to be then why dont they have these severs showing vanilla rank shut down????????? could that be because they are always full????

im looking at serverspy right now and 1/3 of the entire PR player base is on servers that have some sort of server side mod on them. thats a hell of allot of the player base to alienate and ostracize. this might come back to bite you guys in the butt when you end up with one server getting filled at peek times. legal action, sure you might have grounds but the lawyer will charge atleast a $15,000 retainer fee for the case just to start.

Please explain how they "infect" the pure servers since the pure servers are run differently from the modded ones? As you and yours have so eloquently stated, the differences in gameplay from a pure PR server to that of a modded PR server are drastic.....so how does that gameplay carry over being that the changes are server side? A player can't bring that with him. He can't bring short spawn times with him, or short vehicle spawn times with him...

If replying to me is becoming tedious, good. It should teach you a lesson that whining and dining isn't going to get you anywhere in life. Your community made a community problem public. My advice to you...stop posting and go play PR.

what does matter is if ur trying to keep the community happy by launching more servers with ur content while smacktards are tweaking ur mod WITHOUT UR PERMISSION and passing it off as ur game, which is infact a breach of copyright laws........now whose the ****ing kid
