i saw the same thing this morning as well
i tried to go to downloader.ea.com and it was down or an error saying too busy

then it came up

the ea site had info on the latest patch but no download for it

wonder what's up

Well loaded up EA downloader and now all the previous patch downloads are no longer there now. I dunno, gonna go play SF now and hopefully when I log off later it will be there.

It will be released 4 pm PST. $5 on it.

You will all be waiting for nothing. The 24 hour delay is nothing but speculation so until I hear it directly from EA/DICE then I won't believe it.

Our sources have told us that EA has delayed the BF2 1.4 Patch by at least a week (7 days). There is a slight possibility that it may be released before a week, but the outcome does not look great at this moment. If more information becomes available, we will let you know.

This is why patches should never be given a release date and why they didn't give one in the past.

It raises expectations and when there is a last minute bug found and the release date is pushed forward, and the kids whine.

Me, I'm happy they found the bug and had the integrity to postpone it.

It'll be done when it's done.
