YUP...FECK THIS PATCH RIGHT UP THE ARSE TOTALLY....

Increased Lag, Ruined gameplay, Unstable Server, and Game just resetting to windows for no apparaent reason!!!

Anyone know a way for me just to take the latest patch out without having to install the whole game again?

I downloaded this and this is HEAVILY BUGGED!!!! Its cool to drop vehicles and stuff and a new game mode but theres about 100 bugs in this patch!
1.Crashing when it wants a random moment!
2.Serious problems with the server browser-shows weird s**t like some server is running armored fury maps and if i click on it the map name changes AND if i click on a server what has a map name for example "sharqi peninsula" but i see the dalian plant map picture on the right!
3.If to join a server then the "server info" its all 0 like ff and other stuff!
4.Bigger lag!
5.Sometimes the car dropping aint working!
So far i found these bugs but soon there should be coming more out!

so many bugs, but it's still fun!
weird things i have encountered: all karakand maps have weird 8 digit pings. that is the weirdest. ONLY karakand... and each and every karakand...
i just wanted to try out the new patch in my element, but NO!
increased lag.
and the most annoying, connecting to the account server takes about 3 minutes now!!! which is 3 times more then the super annoying 1 minute i used to wait.
but i suppose they do it to give you the fuel needed to kick butt in bf2.
increased frustration = increased desire to kill.

Can't uninstall the patches with out uninstalling the full game, only way to kind of do it is make a back up of your game before you patch it and then patch it and see how you like the patch, if you don't like it, revert to the other verison (your backup).

Can't you just reinstall 1.22?

and sry, is there a difference between one patch and another. or is it all the same? i downloaded my patch from a UK website someone posted in the forums. is it possilbe that that patch is different from the one i could get from EA?

Wonderful now that coop is in but when i go to play it there always that dumb little message that says "round wont start until 1 player(s) join" when me and 32 other bots are on. how do i disable that message?

The Jets are now rank though mate....

The F35 which was previoulsy rather frustrating to take out...is now a flying certain death trap.

The Bombers are now far less responsive and practically defenseless against the fighter jets and the Laser Guided missile has dveloped a propensity to swerve away from its target at the last minute...no matter how clean a shot and how long you have had the lock on for...

All jets can be generally plucked from the air like ripe cherries using any assortment of AA gun.

I think the chap is right who reckons that EA are trying to ruin this game so that everyone has to go buy 2142. Well, I wont be geting it and I wont even be getting Armoured Fury afer the dissapointment of the vastly unimaginative Euro Forces. what a White Elephant EuroForces has turned out to be eh?

u are right. euro forces did not very much and divided the community even further like SF. my opinion:

give the new maps to EVERYONE.
if you bought Euro you can play as Euro on Euro-maps, all others use mec/us or something else. should be possible.

i will NOT buy AF after these disasters with the patches.
AF does not even have a new army, only vehicles/planes/maps.
definitley NOT enough.

And 1.3 did ruin everything for me, too:
server browser f**ed up
jeep on my head
CTD after first start of "Strike on Karkland"
red/blue tag still present
no tag at all bug still present

I killed another soldier of my team accidently cause there was NO info
whatsoever above him.

EA go home. I even contacted the EA-support for help with an old
BF2-bug/Crash. these were the worst support-mails and responses
I EVER EVER read. not even UBISOFT has been so stupid.

another thing: why does the forum show me as "private first Class" ????

After installing the patch I manually updated Punkbuster and it was a little faster and stable. As for the patch, I'm getting tired of having to look to the sky to keep jeeps from landing on me. You're not even safe in a tank. If you're lucky enough to have a decent enough machine to run shadows you can sometimes see the shadow right before it lands on you. IMHO, the vehicle should only be able to be dropped on the requester's head and he should be the one dodging it.

If your playing by yourself, Turn max players down to 1

For those of you that have installed patch 1.3 why can’t you uninstall BF2 and reinstall it again with the patch 1.2?

Would that be a problem with servers?

and btw: for those of you whose game is crashing right after u double click on your shortcut, the problem might be that you might of used the trick of renaming your bf2.exe. if u did, then u now need to reinstall bf2 and everything.. like me

Ok chaps expect a quick fix in 6 months,

this is utter rediculous co-op is a totally waste of resources, the server browser likes to choose the server for me, and i cant even get into a sever without a humvee landing on me,

EA have disgraced themselves yet again think of how long this patch has been comming AND YOU STILL COULDNT FIX WHAT WE WANTED,

trying to sweeten us with fancy but usless stuff isnt going to make us like you this is certainly the last EA game i ever intend to play, enyone fancy some CS:S

Because you only have six posts. It is not a reflection of your BF2 rank. It's specific to this website, and each post is like a "point". However, stat pad here and you'll likely get banned heh. It's just for fun.

Well first impressions and I've noticed only two bugs, but I've only played it for 5 mins. The server browser is messed up as everyone has pointed out, but more annoyingly when I change my video settings and click apply, it instantly changes the anti-aliasing to "off" - no matter what I do I can't get the drop down box to stick to 2* (or 4 or 6 for that matter). Anyone else had this?

I did a complete uninstall, reinstall, apply the full 1.3 patch.

One thing I did notice though - my verifying client data time seems to have got quicker, contrary to what a lot of people seem to have been experiencing.

Edit: Just re-started the game and the anti aliasing thing seems to have sorted itself out :)

One other observation, my "connecting to account server" time has gone from ages (like nearly a minute) to just ~5 seconds..
