This patch disgusts me. I don't care for the CO-OP, and I don't care for the vehicles drops. What I do care about is being able to join a server I pick. I picked a server, and the server name warped down the server list through the in-game browser. This never happened before.

I'm starting to believe EA is intentionally bugging games to re-attract the community, or force players to purchase upcoming products (hint BF2142). I have been playing PRMM for the past week, but the server browser is having so much trouble right now I feel this 1.3 patch has ruined mod play.

There are more servers online and more players than ever, people hating on EA in a forum wont affect thier bottom line one bit, simple truth, and they know it well.

Co-Op is useless no ranking so no one play it and what for?

For bot rape on LAN games where say 5 ppl might want to bulk out the teams. Coop is awesome, you and your buddy can go opposing commanders, each with your own team of bots. Good stuff!

I love the amount of people just now posting, or making a account here, to do the EA hate thing. It's actually DICE that develops it. Even though EA bought them, they are still the programmers...

There's a lot of 1 posters...this should be a heads up....Let's get it going DICE.

And did you know that the ORIGINAL and developer DICE has nothing to do with the patches of BF2, thye're tooo busy working with the "never seen before TITAN-mode". Patches are made by DICE Canada, which by my knowledge is a EA:s main summer trainees office. And EA does all the testing, which SHOULD prevent things like.. i don't know.. maybe things like crashing to the f* desktop 3x in a row trying to connect a server.

yeah i completely agree with you the one thing that still amazes me about it all i dont know if its just my comp. but in the top right its supposed to show your version and it still says 1.2.2 i love it

You're lucky mine has been 1.1.7 for past couple of months.

I’m getting the weird server browser ping issues as well as some of you. I'm also not impressed that I had to reinstall Bf2 all over again since patch 1.3 caused loading the game to bring me a black screen followed by a crash to desktop.

I'm not that bothered about the changes they've made to the game. I'd prefer it if they just fixed all of the damn bugs including the OLD and NEW that they keep introducing.

I'm one of the people who have been affected with lower frame rates (laggyness) since v1.21. My main hope for this new patch was to get a fixed performance. Shame I didn't get it.

I will say politely that EA games sure do provide a sheer lack of good customer service. Good customer service makes me want to go back for more where as bad customer service well… kinda puts me off returning.

I was really looking forward to buying BF2142 but now I’m not so sure. I’m sure it will be an awesome game but unfortunately EA will still be liable for it’s maintenance. That’s the thing that scares me!

It will be a viscous circle. They will release BF2142 and gradually degrade it with so-called improvements that are accompanied by bugs just the same. The interest won’t be there to fix it all properly because after they have made their money on BF2142 they will have yet another game in the pipeline to focus on.

Quality EA craftsmanship. What was really expected? I'm sure the fanboy's will flame me, but even they, at some point, will see EA's BS for just that, BS.

Bugs. Crash to desktop while trying to load into a server.
Loading into a server, no IP shows and no ping.

Commander Bugs. Watched people try and get in as Commander for about 30 minutes lastnight in the server I was playing in. Quite annoying to get the "New Commander on duty" message over and over again.

Really enjoyed watching our Commander drop cars on US Choppers and Planes, completely disabling them on their carrier. Also really enjoyed the commander who did nothing but drop dozens of cars, while everyone was calling for Supplies, UAV, or Artillery.

Hats off to EA.

Out of topic, the only good thing I ever found on the changes of patch 1.3 is that the War College Ribbon and a hell of a lot of other medals changed in requirements.

First off a CTD is not always BF2 but sometimes might be video drivers. I know I couldn't play with the last ATI 6.3/6.4 drivers until this patch. Some of you guys might get lucky and have the game run smoother with different video drivers; but judging by the amount of problems it doesn't look very likely.

Have not been so lucky in connecting to Euro Force servers or staying in the game longer than 10 seconds myself. Have patience though and if you cannot get through to them on the emails; you might want to go confront them down at their building about your game problems. They are located in Southern California I think. Do not run down there with your gun though a note to all the little nutcases out there.
