ok thanks for your time, i will try those settings are post back, so u never see your FPS drop below 60 in heavy firefights especially on karkand? seems a bit odd, especially considering your setup is a bit weaker than mine.

The most FPS i get is about 40. And that is on a good day. Sometimes i live on 25. And that is on almost the lowest settings.

I get around 50 fps, although sometimes hitting above 60. No skipping, except in the very begining. Then its all nice.

bring up your console and type 'game.lockfps 999' (without quotes) that will allow your fps to go over 100. I have seen my fps hit over 200 a few times and during normal play I avg between 90-120.

To the x800xt owner, depending on your settings 30 fps is fine, I had an x800xl before and saw my fps hit 20-30 in heavy fire as well running med-high settings. The biggest fps drainers are the dynamic shadows and light, turn them off.

I am currently running an Opteron 165 o/c to 2.6ghz (FX60 specs), 2gb of OCZ el platinum ram, 520W OCZ PSU, XFI soundcard, DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D with an X1900XT 512mb.

I have all settings at high (texture and geometry at Ultra High) with dynmaic shadow and light at medium. I run at 1440x900 with 4xAA and 8x High Quality AF, sound is x-fi settings at ultra high. like I said before, I avg between 90-120, but I have seen it go as low as 60 on some servers. But for a PC that cost me as much as this one did, I would expect nothing less.

Best thing to do to keep your fps up is turn off some of that eye candy, but even when I had a similar setup, I left that stuff on, I would rather play at 30fps with a nice looking game than 60 fps with a game that looked like a Playstation

                      Specs in sig below.

I run 1024x768 2xAA/everything high with all lightig related options at medium.

                      Still drops to <30FPS.

I run everything on high, except AA, which is at 2x. I tested it, and on karkand, I average around 65. During heavy firefights and artillery, it gets down in the 40's and high 30's.

I have an Athlon 64 3400+, radeon X800Pro, and 1 gig of ram.

I have a similiar setup as you.

                                CPU:P4 3.0HT
                                RAM:Munskin PC3200 2-3-3-4 1GB * 2
GFX:ATI:X800xt AIW (With After maket GPU Fan)
                                HD:Western Digital SATA 120GB

After the patch my frame rates went to the crapper, I uninstalled driver and installed omega drivers. (old catalyst versions)

                                I get somewhere between 80 to 60fps - never goes below 50.
                                Everything is set to Medium
                                Viewing distance is maxed
