Before SF came out this is exactly what was going on. Everyone was like lets boycott it till they fix Vanilla. But everyone went and bought that. Dont get me wrong SF is nice but I think everyone will go on and buy this one too. I also believe that 2142 will be another expansion pack. Same engine etc... it only makes sense that its an expansion pack. I could be wrong though. I think its just EA trying to get under our skin and see how we react to a new game and so soon. I think its working in there favor.

I didn't buy SF and none of my friends did because BF2 is a buggy mess. I'd imagine that vast majority of people didn't buy SF either, especially since it only cracked the sales charts for one month. Even then it was 10th overall and normal BF2 was 4th. Seriously low attachment rate right there.

EA is a company that is out to make money for its shareholders...not bow down to the people that buy the games. I think they've done a decent job supporting bf2. There hasn't been a problem for me personally that has made me hate EA or the game itself. I realize some people have a lot of issues, but still if you are playing the game it can't be that bad.

That said I'll probably buy the game if I'm getting sick of bf2 at that point:)

Its an exp pack, its only logical to assume that it will not reach the main games sales.

I agree on what has been said- people said the same thing about SF. "Fix this and fix that" yet they still bought it. Time to accept that with a game with such a variety, mistakes are bound to happen.

its an updated bf2 engine, like the source engine is to the hl1 engine

Uhhh.... Yea? I'm not saying everyone is stupid and will go buy it. I think people should have learned from SF because they released that and the game was really buggy. People bought in to what EA released even though Vanilla wasn't perfect. So hopefully no one buys this EXPANSION PACK. I still think its only that.

It looks good, but I think it deserves a name other than Battlefield...

They also are releasing it too early...Fall 2006...they should give me time to have fun with BF2 first and maybe release it Spring or Summer 2007.

I agree games are cool untill the say "o lets FACK it up and play make belive future wars" Ok facts BF1942 was the best most people played it was great BFvietnam was a decline and DC mod was great then what seems like a short lived BF2 will be a speck compared to how long BF1942 was played
