$20 to anyone who can help me fix the stuttering prob
Re: $20 to anyone who can help me fix the stuttering prob
You guys remember how long it took to get 1942 perfect, a long time. I know this seems retarted but you just gotta wait until they finally get it right.
Re: $20 to anyone who can help me fix the stuttering prob
Bf1942 never had these kinds of problems. I could play it on my graphics card I got in 2001 and it never got worse. BF1942 might have improved, but BF2 is degrading and unplayable at this point. They should have left it alone from the start. I had a 3 month period when I couldn't even join a server due to "unmodified content" errors. Unacceptable.

Thanks, but keep your "I know how to fit it" and...
Wow, I thought that trying to point out that posting rude comments to people would make it less likely that other peeps would try and chime in with their help. I will never try and keep up with your brilliance.

Think about it genious...
Guy 1 posts his problem and lists his specs about his computer. He inadvertantly leaves out the "X" in "X700"
Guy 2 makes the comment "wtf is a 700, do you mean X700?" Obviously Guy 2 is a moron with a high misguided opinion of himself and was focusing on the wrong problem.
You tell me where it started?
Finally if you have the solution - post it. Otherwise shut up, we don't need you opinion on etiquette. We're trying to get back in the game.
Re: $20 to anyone who can help me fix the stuttering prob
Hey all, I'm having the same problem. Last night i saw a thread that went to a link to Steam and it said to change some settings in Audio Codecs. I also updated my Nvidia drivers. That worked last night, but today I started the game and I am having the same lag issues, doesn't matter if it's singleplayer or online.

Regardless of their computer specs - if we didn't have the problem before the patch and we all have it now - it's clearly a problem with the patch!
Maybe the best thing to do here is report it to ea and play something that is a little less stressfull for you like Sims2
People are asking questions trying to figure it out for you and you just keep dumping on them.
Good luck getting much help now
Re: $20 to anyone who can help me fix the stuttering prob
Yea im having the same problem too i have posted a few threads on this issue and hopefully EA/DICE can resolve this problem quickly. Im also relieved that i am not the only one having this problem.
Re: $20 to anyone who can help me fix the stuttering prob
well i can play it on medium 1280x1024 with 2xx AA and i have a p4 northwood 2.53ghz 1gb ram and a 6800GT. And ive not had any problems since the patch.
So.
Theres two possibilities for this problem.
1) You have faulty hardware, very possibly a hard disk problem which would explain that it runs ok for a min or two then stuttuers becuase the game runs out of ram then starts using swap files on the faulty hard disk.
2) Your doing somthing wrong in the way you setup your PC each time.

WTF!!! Dude try reading the rest of the thread before you try and over troubleshoot a problem.
Nothing has changed on the machines, no setups have been done, apart from installing patch 1.21 from EA/Dice, so how can it be a machine setup wrong as before patch 1.21 everything was fine and BF2 was being played on high settings, now even on low settings the stuttering is still there(only on multiplayer). So let me ask you how the hell does it point to the hard drive? Or to a machine being setup wrong??
Everyone seems to have their own opinion for what is going on, which is fine, but please before posting a reply to this thread, read the whole thread and see what has been covered, throughout the thread, otherwise its like going round in circles with the same old B$ flying around, and that doesn't help anyone.
