OS system on a 40 gig HD, with a 40 gig Slave with a 10 gig partition For Linux to play games, unbelievable difference in game play on a Linux OS system
btw I run on medium settings on 64 man servers with 35ish fps

I don't know where you got the min spec but its incorrect.

Minimum Specification:
CPU: 1.7 Ghz
RAM: 512 Mb
Video Card: NVidia GeForce FX 5700, ATI Radeon 8500 or ATI Radeon 9500
with 128 Mb of RAM

Having said that it will work on all 5 series cards and up.

If you run at the minimum spec don't even try playing on anything but 16 player maps and low detail and it should be fine.

Not even, I play on 64 player maps all the time...With a geforce 5200 128mb and 512 mb of ram. My system is a pentium r 4 2.60 ghz. I can actually run on medium settings, with only lag when i first enter the game. Then it runs smoooooth. But I'm upgrading ram to 1.5 gb soo and a 7900GT card

For all of those who are complaining about lag and stutter when running on all low at 1024 by 768, drop it to 800 by 600. Seriously, if you are stuttering that will help!

and what about those of us who are stuttering at 800*600? =P

i cant play on 64 player servers and never could, but i can live with it.
