Mine barely meets the EA posted Minimums...As long as I have great ping the 64 player maps are fine. Personally, I am just happy to be able to play. I do wish I could crank those graphics up though. Watching in game clips from other players is torture! Someday....

Exactly the same here, i'd love to have great graphics for the eye candy, but they dont mean anything for the win!

. I can never seem to apply to be the commander at the beginning of a game as the score screen interrupts the application screen.

I get this ridiculous bug too. After loading the game forever and enduring the first round stutters, the end game scores screen mysteriously appears on my screen preempting my jet whoring! It's like the final slap in the face before you can actually play the game.

My specs:

1.8 GHz AMD Athlon
256MB PC2700
5200FX GeForce 128MB

Run everything on low and play in 50+ servers OK. Stutters and takes a while to load, but after some time things run somewhat smoothly. ~20fps avg.

Max runs bf2 @ 1280x1024 4xAA all High except lighting on Medium w/ X-Fi

I am running an athlon 1800 (1.533 mhz) 256 geforce 5500 and 768 SDRAM. I run everything on low and 64 player maps are a lag fest for me. I do alright with about 40-50 people but anymore then that I can see it. the video card saves me somewhat. I could give more input tomorrow when my new XPS 600 shows up. then I can tell the difference.

Loaded up the new system. (its sweet by the way) The game set everything to high so I left it there. played my first round on line and noticed a huge difference in gameplay. on the old system I could get about 30-40 points per game. with high round of 77 (as AT) the new system I averaged 70-80 points per round. given there was a little bit of a learning curve due to the new response time i had. So anyone that has that low end machine I feel for you. some of you have skill that has not been unleashed due to your system. and for people who have the uber machines and love to trash talk, try it on a low end machine and see how ya do.

Minimum requirements = minimum to get an image in game on the screen.

Running this game on a celeron processor with 384 RAM is asking for .

It's probably also depends on what screen resolution you play at 640x480 and 800x600 can be playable but not pretty on low end hardware.

nvidia geforce 6600gt 585/1160
1.5gb ram (pc3200)

takes a whle to load a map 1min or so,
doesnt lag in game since i upgraded to 1.5 gb ram.

can play full 64 servers,and get occasanal slowdown in heavy action in 64 player servers,but runs sweet on 32 player servers.

800-600 (85hz)
all low,no dynamic light/shadows,view distance 100% and medium geomatary.
get 40-50 fps online

Then something is VERY wrong, all those things except processor exceed my specs, while I can play lag free on 64 player server with higher settings than you and very quick loading times.

Athlon +2000XP 1.76ghz @ 2ghz
1gig Geil Value Ram (2x512mb)
9600xt 128mb GPU

I run Textures, Terrain, Geometery, and Effects at Medium.. Lighting Low
I run at 1024x768, A.F: Medium, A.A: 2x

On 64-Man Servers I get between 45-55 fps. I skip for about 15 seconds into the round. Usually the amount of time it takes me to select my kit. Then after that, it's smooth sailing. Yet, I take "exceptional" care of my PC. I shall be upgrading soon once the whole "GPU" war dies down to a reasonable level.
