i play at res 1024X700 (something like that) and everything at low.

I have amd athlon xp 2.0 gh 512 mo ram, radeon 9600. And its only choppy sometimes.

My Stats:

Windows XP - Professional (XP Home - second partition)
AMD Anthlon 3200+
1 GB DDR ram(2X512)
ATI 9600 Pro 256MB
200 GB HD (7200 RPM)

I'm currently thinking about upgrading my motherboard to a dual core, dual capable AMD opteron. I'm running a server/workstation and my server hords a lot of processing power.

After this new patch I can't play BF2 at all. I have all settings as low as they go and I can't play online. To much lag and impossible to play in the [TW] 64 player server. If EA doesn't fix this lag problem in the hotfix they are going to get a lot of nasty snailmail. My computer should EASILY be able to run the game and it did fine on medium before the patch.

Before anyone says its my internet connection I just had it upgraded to 5mbps. The game ran fine before the patch.

I'm stuck at minimum graphics with a computer better then minimum and still can't play.

Your internet connection is only part of your lag. Your PING is your internet connection speed (or how long in takes to respond to server in milliseconds). Lag is effected by your computer speed and connection speed, opponent computer and connection speeds, and the server speed.

My Question is:
why would you want to play on minimum settings if i couldn't play it with everything full up at 1280x960 with no lag i'd switch my pc off and play champ manager on my psp

I play with 256 Mb RAM on a Pentium 4 with a Radeon 9600. It seems to run fine once in the game. It takes a long time to load maps and lags for a little while once the game starts. I can never seem to apply to be the commander at the beginning of a game as the score screen interrupts the application screen. But other that than the game runs fine.
I really should get a new computer.

I have gotten the demo of the game to run on
I had the game running on it the same way... yet 1.12 crashed it after I struggled to get 3gigs available... bt overall, if I repartion it and reinstall, I am sure it would run.

AMD athlon "2100" OCed to 2500+ now runnnig at 1.83 ghz
512 2700 333 mhz ram
Nvidea GeForce FX 5200 <----- under specs....
everything set on low lags pretty bad and images on the game are blocks.... ill see if i can find the screenshot i took when i get home from school

The only problem I have with my computer is my gfx card. My Radeon 9200 sucks.

I'm running a 1.27Ghz AMD CPU with an ATI Radeon 9600 and 512MB RAM and BF2 works fine =)

All settings on low with around 15-20 fps on a 32 man server.
VERY frustrating when I get killed due to hardware issues, and not skill related...
ahh well. I guess I should be happy it plays at all...
