You dont see teens killing each other in Estonia for exampel because theres no way a teen can get a gun. In USA, almost every father has a pistol. Its bad parenting, not video games. Eventually its the parents who teach whats right or wrong, not a game. I have a yet to see a kid who cant tell the difference between real life and a video game.
LOL my 4yr old plays from time to time. He loves it but doesn't play it to kill or be killed. He just likes the vehicles. He can fly a heli, plane which must be embarrassing for all those older people who can't.
In fact my boy is a BF veteran played BFV when he was 2. Could also fly the heli's and planes. He could pilot a heli around the map at 2 and once he learnt the parachute key would fly off and the pull the chute. He could also land them without blowing up which put a lot of other people to shame who couldn't.
Even at 2 he knew the difference between a game and real life. Some people don't give kids any credit just because they are young doesn't mean they are dumb.
However I certainly wouldn't let him even watch pg13 movies. I even change the channel if there is something on the news he doesn't need to see.

Cause in any European country it is very very easy to get a gun. You can trust me on that. I'm not Estonian but I don't know why it should be any different there. My best friend spend 4 days in Tallinn just 2 weeks ago and from what he told me didn't sound like it would be different there. A 5yo child should be increasing his knowledge and understanding of the world he lives in, not playing games that will do nothing more than retard his development. If you're going to allow gaming, make him play games that promote critical thinking and reasoning skills. Should I prepare myself for flames now ?
I started playing Doom and Wolfenstein 3D when I was 7ish and it didn't mess with my head. I actually grew into a FPS addict (not that that's bad :P).
Stick your head out of your asses and stop blaming tv and videogames for child behavior, when its the parents' fault that the child doesn't get thaught the difference between what's real and whats not.
