Its only dumb if you are new to the online multiplayer experience. And if it was that dumb, do you think google would define it as:

The verb to pwn (past tense: pwned, pwnd, pwn'd, pwnt, pooned) as used by the Internet gaming subculture, means to beat or dominate an opponent. While it probably originated as a typing error of the word own, it is now used intentionally by many members of the subculture. The term has become so ubiquitous in Internet circles that it is often used outside of gaming contexts; for example, "He just got pwned in that debate" or "The hunters pwned that bear."

    Google's Definition

Supposedly it originated in Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned." Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned."

P.S. LOL The hunters pwned that bear... now thats just dumb lol.

it doesnt take much to own on karkand these days.
in fact, given a couple weeks i think i could teach my cat to grenade or claymore spam.

the grenade spam might not be such a great idea as my cat is a little chubby and not too coordinated, so it would fudge her kill ratio. but with the new claymores shed have at least a 2:1 ratio.

The true meaning, unlike most people say its not a miss spell. It started by owned. So when people killed ya with a pistol they said "pistol owned". Of course its long writting that so they made a siple version "p-owned". But then some got lazy and others just thought it was how to spell it to prove their leet, but relly owned and pwned mean the same, but pwned is with the pistol

And please, no "OMG you suck as a parent!! Your kid plays BF2!! Bla bla bla". I play BF2 with him all the time, and he really enjoys playing with dear old dad. Sure, he's exposed to some profanity every once in a while, but that's life, and it's hardly escapable.

Anyhow, I also play board games, basketball, soccer, etc with him, plus I help him do his homework. Maintaining BF2 privileges (yes, he has to earn BF2 playtime) by making sure homework is done (he's in 2nd grade) has been a great motivator.

Reminds me of my "drunk" dad who took me to go see Full Metal Jacket and Hamburger Hill is the theater. I was around 10 or so , still remember vividly the girl at the ticket counter saying to my dad you know this is an R rated movie lol . That and Privates Pyle blowing his brains out and that guy who loses his guts in teh first 5 mins of hamburger hill . Did it screw my up NO , but i never looked at life the same way.

You certainly can comment on it, but you won't be commenting INTELLIGENTLY on it because you have no first hand experience. One can read all the books in the world on parenting; however, unless you've actually experienced it, you really have no idea. Fellow parents out there know what I'm talking about.
