    Keep at it...
Maybe because 'Choper Pilots' are the dog's b*llocks thing is boring as feck now.
It's actually pathetic if you was this amazing pilot you'd be playing a flight sim instead of taking the easy route on BattleField2
I don't really need to carry on the arguement because the patch is almost out and we'll see if the gameplay will change.
If you didn't already guess either machstem I have a social life so can't come on here every 5mins to argue with you about choppers

I think it's called keeping the enemy's heads down so the team can put some fire down. The SAS trains with Rangers do they Well I'd say the Rangers are a jazzed up Infantry Regiment now Navy SEALS I would believe that.Obviously you know alot the Spec Ops world  I'm sure you do put it this way the only contact I've had with the SAS is the Platoon Sgt. Who was part of my training staff through Phase1 Training and got on well with his m8 also a Sgt.So I got the info on certain things.I don't think more Americans are willing to die for their country than British blokes it's just because your Special Forces aren't so special if just about anyone can get into them.
If want to work on stats lets use Iraq and Afganistan for example work out the statics for deaths for American vs British
They are nearly exactly the same.
Please stop collectively embarassing the entire nation.

            1. Yes Britian notoriously have some of the best trained soldiers in the world.
            2. Theres not enough of them.
            3. America's army size, numbers and money would smash us to bits regardless of how well trained we are.
            4. There are more Americans that would die for thier country, only as thiey're brainwashed from such a early age (sing anthem at school).

Stop the petty arguing chaps, again. If you have a problem with eachother, take it to the battlefield and have a bunnyhopping race!

When I started playing I was constantly getting killed by choppers and jets. Did I like it? No, but instead of complaining I learned how to fly.
It´s a lot harder to fly than to be on the ground because when we start to fly and don´t do good scores...the pro pilots start to complain and whine that they want their choppers back.
And What I complain about chppers is their mobility...there are maps where a good helo pilot (or plane) won´t let us use any sort o vehicle.

So a good helo pilot dominates the battle field not only because they destroy all the oppositions armor but also because they let their teams armour roam free on the map. So when you´re facing a team with air superiority you are also facing a team with ground superiority.

I know what you mean, but what I mean is while I was hopping and nading I felt as if I had an unfair advantage as any one on one confrontation ended in my favor without the other dude getting off a shot, I mean no one bunny hopping nader can take out a good squad but one on one a good nader can almost be invincible.....once the patch comes out and they cant jump and shoot and the nade has to travel a certain distance before arming a lot of people (like me) will stop bitching, it will mean that now it will take some skill to use the nade launcher and I NEVER get mad if someone kills me that is better, God knows I am pretty crappy, but being naded two feet in front of a dude is just redicuous....

Being able to jump and shoot is part of this video game. This is not real life kids, its a video game. Get over it. Untill the patch comes out anyways. But sure peeps will find other stuff to complain about after this next patch.

There are tons of things about this game that annoy me. I just deal with it, adapt, over come and keep having fun
Ok you are comparing futuristic FPS games to what is supposed to be a modern warfare game....not to get on your case by any means I am just saying....lets take UT for example, it is in the title man, UNREAL so anything should go in that game, and quake, well your killing monsters and crap....but watching people hopping around like dumbasses on karkand spraying nades everywhere has no place in a game that tries to have a little realism and I mean little, but some of the things people do removes what little realism BF2 has.

quick question to anybody, this is the first BF game I have played, dud bunny hopping exist in BF1942 and BFVN?

You could always research the British Army's history on how effective the British Army was.Lets put it this way they had alot of balls British or Enemy to stay in their lines just to be mowed down now that's guts.
For example such a small Island yet we ruled half the world lol basically.Only reason we didn't finish the US off is we suffered a few loses in skirmishes and public views were changing back home.Maybe we wouldnt have to follow you into Iraq and lose some good men.
I'm not surprised 'wanna be' soldiers aren't impressed by who have real military experience because lets face it your just jealous you'd never make selection ohh wait your going to tell me you have this amazing Civilian job which pays alot.
Defend chopper wh*reing all you want it's over fella's time for you to buy a flight sim..Thank you please
                            I don't fly very often.

I have no desire to be a real life soldier.

I do not make a lot of money in a civilian job.

I do know a little about British history as I teach history. Did I mention I make little money. :)

I like your sig it makes me smile.

You talk about real life experiences in the military. In real life you can't patch your enemies. You have to adapt. It's a good point no?

I'm not nearly as much of your enemy in this thread as you might think. My overall sentiment though, is just to deal with the game as it is. And not classify people as whores of this or that type. Just get some flags and do your thing.

Re: bunny hoppers and helo pilots

I am happy, yesterday, on gulf, I took out 2 helo's with my at kit
took out 1 helo with the AA...

"aim at him, wait for his flares then aim above him (locks back on faster when not following flairs, and fired both rockets and both hit"

I still think all those who keep on saying helo is a newb toy are freaking retarded babies that should play the game,

However, I feel unaffected by the patch... I am an "Alright" pilot... its so fun...
I think Its not such a bad thing because I will be A LOT MORE CARFUL, yet I think I will be killed way to fast...

                              But overall...
I easely kill helo's with my at kit... so with the new patch, they better not fly over me.
and all those who cry because they couldnt kill them before... they will keep on crying because they still wont be able to hit a good pilot

Re: bunny hoppers and helo pilots

I originally posted this on the SF forum, but I'm curious as to the responses I'll get in this thread

To those posting in defense of pre-1.2 helicopters, I'm sorry, but you're full of sh*t. If you don't see the glaring imbalance with the current aircraft/AA system, then you're blind and naive. Especially on maps like Oman and Wake, where it's pretty much a free-for-all turkey shoot for aircraft pilots.

Stationary AA is broken. There's no getting around that, despite your claims of people having no skill. Firing with a solid lock and no flares still almost always results in the missiles taking an erratic path - sometimes even locking on to a friendly target. This happens at a target well within range and not performing any evasive manuevering. Plain and simple, the missiles are just dumb.

Helicopter armor. Nerf it, and nerf it good. There has been countless times where I have put at least 2 tank shells into a chopper, only to have him just fly off to the nearest helicopter pad to repair and rearm. So, basically, helicopters have pretty much the same armor as a tank, 3 times the firepower, and lets not forget it's ability to FLY AROUND THE MAP AT HIGH SPEED.

8 missiles. A very decent change, although I doubt this will affect a talented pilots kill potential. It only takes a few missiles to demolish a tank, which is fine. This change will just demand better aim from the pilot.

Heaven forbid if after 1.2 pilots aren't able to fly around with impunity. Imagine actually having to think about where you're flying - having to use the terrain defensively - having to be aware of all the AA sites, and whether or not they're manned or not. I seriously think the only thing going through pilots minds right now is where the closest tank to destroy is. Like I said, it's a free for all. The main threat to pilots right now is *gasp*... other helicopters.

Exactly. Which is the way it should be. If I pilot is smart enough to fly defensively and take out it's immediate threats, I have no problem with it owning me. The problem with pre-1.2 is that it has no threats from the ground.
