Interesting info escape_nl. I added MGS to the begining and fixed Brigadier General link.

Master Gunnery Sergeant - 59998
Second Lieutenant - 74998
First Lieutenant - 89998
Captain - 114998
Major - 124998
Lieutenant Colonel - 149998
Colonel - 179998
Brigidier General - 180000
Major General - 199998

nobody is thinking about the fact that at 74998, this test person has already reached 2nd lieutenant. this means that the rank requirement is somewhere below 75000, but at or above 60000. this doesn't really tell us anything because we don't know where the starting OR ending points of the rank requirements are. 59998 could be very early or very late in the master gunnery sgt ranks, but assuming they leave sgt major/gunny sgt at the same level (50000), these numbers would be the ENDS of thhe previous ranks so:
2nd liet: 60000
1st liet: 75000
cpt: 90000
major: 115000
lt. col.: 125000
col: 150000
and I don't know what to make of the fact that there is a rank at 179998 and one at 180000, so maybe I'm wrong; we'll see.

They still have room to go higher than 200,000 if they wish 3 to 5 Star Generals are not on the list.

I Agree totaly with your prognostication on the ranks.

Why else would you set the ranks at two points away from an arbitrary number then to allowing a tester to easily test that the promotion system works for that rank.

The 180000 is after the test see. One kill,...two points,....test over.

exactly what I noticed...so obviously the sgt major rank will be lowered...and...yea...lol we'll just have to wait and see

Noone has even postualted that higher ranks might require expert badges, etc.

Providing this is correct, how do they adjust first seargent and master seargent? the difference between the two is 30,000 as it is now. I don't see how they could drop it to even it out without adding another rank in between them.

That can't be the right scoring numbers, I mean what's the point if the highest score for the highest rank now, is the same after the patch. 200,000 for Major General, so wow all the 2nd lt's who are already at the top, will still be at the top, what's the point?

The ranks should progress after 200,000, with a slight lowering of the current point system, but adding new rank to the current point system is useless.

think it will be right, there are more ranks then showing in this thread, Dice said they will ad 10 new ranks so .

This is axectly what I have been saying, most new ranks are first to fill up the gap between 50K and 200K , and then some extra ranks for 200K + .

for captain there are lower scores , there is some captain who has litle more then 100K out there

Master Gunnery, and Master Gunnery Sergeant are the same, why are there two different ranks. Where are you getting this, if it's not from EA or DICE, we'll actually know in a couple weeks or so. For all we know the guys at BF2player may just be checking to see if their system will update ranks correctly with a fairly random set of numbers.
