I'm a bit scared... here are some screenshots, and on the third one, that Spec Ops guy is armed with something that looks like an mp5, and this freaks me out. Othervise I'm looking forward to it, that Challenger II sounds really good(even though I'm pretty sure that it will be the same as all the other tanks, but with a different skin)...

its a H&K MC-51 by the looks of the magazine :), yea the challenger 2 looks good, lets hope it isn't just a reskin! oh and Captjordus, you think that people will listen to you and take you seriously because you write in caps ? plus the fact you think that because your american so you dont need to care about the accent? or saying that we all cannot tell one accent from another?


anyways, looks good, i'll certainly buy, simply because EA have put some time and by the looks of it some actual effort into providing good content!

OMG I saw and read the info today about I SO F**king excited, about the new patch and the booster packs. HOly CR@p!!!! The booster back coming out on the 8th is awsome because all classes get new primary, which means HAHA new unlocks for the original and SF. But what got my skin tingling is the new info about the patch " you can pick up c4, claymores if you are that kit" F**K YA. You guys know how long we've been waiting for that. So if you see left over c4 from a guy you just killed, more for you. But most importantly this I have to say I love EA for is now none of the noobs will no longer run into a claymore i left for an ememy. If he looks like his going to hit Ill just run over and pick it up before it kills him. Saves me 8 points. I love claymores they are the best against the infantry. Im working on expert badges i have all but engi, sniper, and AT. I was saving the sniper, and AT for last because there not that good now. But when the patch is out to fix them, fix there weapon accurracy; add new weapons. Theyll be fun.

This implies the patch has to be out before Feb 8th then...

Well anyone can sign up for a paypal account, as long as you have a bank account you can transfer funds right from there.

Do they accept monopoly money? I mean I have tons of them stored in a box, I don't know what to do with them, im sure they are worth something! rofl


edit: sniper rifle unlock now is a "artic sniper rifle" AKA AWP, now you can one shot kill unless you are really unlucky and hit a finger or a toe.
And also a shot takes 1/4 damage on any air vehicle, the sniper will have 20 rounds per clip with the option semiautomatic or automatic, but will only be available for those who own SF and may use it on any vanilla server to frustrate any player until they buy their own copy.

monopoly money is what the booster packs should be worth. I'm in this for the patch, not the add on crap. Patches are free! I will never pay for these because they can be obtained in the regular bf2.

Plus, people will have the ef maps available for download free.

Until the mods are in a such a state as to be completed and worth my time and effort, I'll let the guys get on with finishing them. I am not doing the mods a disservice, just saying that they are not currently ready yet. Furthermore, I am still enjoying playing ranked so if more comes along that lets me do this then I am pleased with it, as I suspect the majority of the community is.

Remember, the BF2 community is MUCH larger than the population of a few forums on the internet. Just because you know of a few hundred posters on here and you've made ~500 posts here (for example) does not mean you are indicative of "the community". If the community wanted to play mods then ranked servers would be empty. They are not, ergo people want to play ranked.

As for SF servers, I can't say I have ever had a problem finding one. Maybe try less restrictive filters?

But I've done the maths. I paid £25 for BF2, £20 for SF and then will pay £12 for both boosters. Even if I stopped playing RIGHT NOW and still bought the boosters then I would have paid 20p per hour (~$0.15 or so??) for my time on BF2. I don't see how people can complain when I am in the bottom third of times logged on the game. You've had your value for money. Stop complaining and grow up. Preferably, leave this forum and create a "we hate EA" forum elsewhere and let people who'd rather have proper discussions about a game they've invested a lot of time in.

I for one wont be buying it .., i will wait till Desert conflict comes out for bf2.

Also worth pointing out that although I don't give a toss myself since I use English only VO and don't use the new accents in game, the US griefers on this forum should consider the following when talking about the accents - it's the equivalent of using the stereotype of every US citizen being a cowboy and making the standard US voice have an over the top Texan drawl.

Tongue in cheek, but you get my point I hope. Getting actual English speakers to do them as opposed to an "American speaker" feigning an English accent would be a nice touch... :)

Hell, I wish they'd given every army an accented english voice set. Really, it is a disadvantage to not be able to understand the voice calls when on a foreign team.

Get those accents recorded by people who speak those languages natively tho!

As per sterotypes... I'd hate to hear what they'd come up with for a "Canadian" accent.
