I'm just wondering what language will the EU forces use? German, French, English, Italian or even Spanish? I hope they don't use English because it's already in the use of USMC and SAS. French, Italian and Spanish don't really fit into war somehow, German would be awsome. Some angry german yells and your ready for war! (BTW I'm not even native german speaker!)

I hope its not just all one european army but instead have different ones. looking at the list of new weapons I reckon they could have a few different armies changing the assualt weapons at least.

FAMAS - French
SA80 Family - British
G36 family - German
FN2000 - Belgian

Im sure they could get some more armies, the dutch use US weapons such as the M16. Are there any finnish weapons in it?

anyways, looks good, i'll certainly buy, simply because EA have put some time and by the looks of it some actual effort into providing good content!

this is happening more and more in the threads and im glad. i agree i would gladly fork over 10 dollars for new maps and weapons. i think that base raping is acceptable that you can do whatever you want its a battle as well as the fact about noob tobbers its a damn weapon people are going to kill you with it get used to it its like you cant go one game without you dirty noobtuber well hell people shot me with snipers but i dont think that sniping shooting is bad or whatever stupid names you can come up with as well as the whole EA sucks, if they suck dont buy there proudt it should be free people rant well its not free to make so they make money its only 10 damn dollars

no, they said it would add on to vanilla so they will play it as one server versus the expansion pack.

edit: sniper rifle unlock now is a "artic sniper rifle" AKA AWP, now you can one shot kill unless you are really unlucky and hit a finger or a toe.
And also a shot takes 1/4 damage on any air vehicle, the sniper will have 20 rounds per clip with the option semiautomatic or automatic, but will only be available for those who own SF and may use it on any vanilla server to frustrate any player until they buy their own copy.

Until the mods are in a such a state as to be completed and worth my time and effort, I'll let the guys get on with finishing them. I am not doing the mods a disservice, just saying that they are not currently ready yet. Furthermore, I am still enjoying playing ranked so if more comes along that lets me do this then I am pleased with it, as I suspect the majority of the community is.

Remember, the BF2 community is MUCH larger than the population of a few forums on the internet. Just because you know of a few hundred posters on here and you've made ~500 posts here (for example) does not mean you are indicative of "the community". If the community wanted to play mods then ranked servers would be empty. They are not, ergo people want to play ranked.

As for SF servers, I can't say I have ever had a problem finding one. Maybe try less restrictive filters?

But I've done the maths. I paid £25 for BF2, £20 for SF and then will pay £12 for both boosters. Even if I stopped playing RIGHT NOW and still bought the boosters then I would have paid 20p per hour (~$0.15 or so??) for my time on BF2. I don't see how people can complain when I am in the bottom third of times logged on the game. You've had your value for money. Stop complaining and grow up. Preferably, leave this forum and create a "we hate EA" forum elsewhere and let people who'd rather have proper discussions about a game they've invested a lot of time in.

Hrm whilst it couldve been put better i think yah got a point!
Me personally im waiting for desert conflict., and if ppl really want the precious stats to prove how much better they are than others then why not use ABR from bf2scripts?

I would be more inclined to donate money (if i had any) to a mod thats supplied for free than i would to EA for throwing us a "bone" like the boosters.

Just a few other Q's i'd like to bandy around to anyone that can be a$$d to answer....,

Doesnt anyone think that this is going to fragment the bf2 "gameplay community" beyond sillyness?.

I mean how many "booster packs" are they going to offer before attention is turned to bf3?

Is this really going to be the beginning of an Era of "Pay to play" for the BF series?

I think that EA should give the booster packs away as a THANK YOU for putting up with the long wait for them to sort out Battlefield 2.
