we have to pay for them? That really really sucks. Especially considering that the new weapons will probably be useable in normal bf2 and so not having the booster packs will put you at a disadvantage.

This really says it all about EA's attitude to be honest.

I bought SF for instance and now i NEVER play it i play vannila bf2 usually wake island simply because SF was a rip off nothing really knew its as if they thought 'how can we make more money? i know we'll just chuck a couple os tiny things in and charge for it'.

Call me synical but i bet this is the same thing.

you are cynical - SF adds new maps and themes that are missing from the original game and it complements it well. Since the expansion costs less than a night out and the boosters less than a round of drinks your arguments don't really hold water, especially since you need to have bought an expensive PC to run the game in the first place.

Yet more examples of people whining for it's own sake.

Looks pretty good, especially those bug fixes. <3 grenade launcher minimum distance. This is a step in the right direction for DICE.

I hope the booster pack maps will be included in the noremal BF2. The one thing that gets my goat about SF, is that servers cant mix the maps up.
I hope EA sorts this all out. 24/7 city maps.. ALL CITY MAPS... yeah, that would be very nice :)

damn good pt about the servers - hopefully the patch will allow servers to run with these bonus packs in addition to vbf2.

I can't believe guys are complaining about this?!? First, SF was too expensive. Now EA delivers two booster packs with what sounds like a considerable amount of content for about the price of a CD, a couple martinis, a few packs of smokes (however you want to justify it).

Last time I checked, EA wasn't a non-profit organization. It's a business. Businesses have to make a profit or they close.

I'm buying both.

oh my god!!! you people complain about $10-roughly for a booster pack yet alot of you dont think anything about 2½ Venti latte's at starbucks.(about the same price). i would gladly pay $10 for more content that can be used over and over. $10 is really nothing for something like this when you realize that the wages,time,benifits, and various things for the developers to make it. if you think it is too much then you make 3 new maps,vehicle,weapons, etc... and then get the serverspace,and bandwidth, advertisement, and various administration/technical issues to allow 100,000 people all download it on the release day and then see if $10 is worth it or not. then after all that you get to spend all day fielding support calls and bug check. $10 sounds like a deal to me IMHO!

As stated - I'm happy to drop a Hamilton for some new weapons and a few maps. My biggest beef is the lack integration with the regular gameplay and servers. Only time will tell us how they handle it.

Hmmm, what can i say, cool. But i hope these booster packs will be bigger than SF... Yeah, it will cost only 6 dolars which is not very much, but i hope thay will make a lot more new things than just few maps and weapons...
