It seems Dice is releasing two booster packs for BF2 in Spring 2006. It looks like they were originally going to be one expansion pack but they split it into two booster packs. Interesting.

Why? Do you want BF2 to just Die and EA completely forgets about and canncels the series?Originally posted by KC.JADEScrew

I love All of the battlefield games and I would have no problem at all playing $300+ for these games if it cost that much.
You can whine and complain, but all your going to do is stop EA wanting to make/fund these games....
Would you want that? Nothing after BF2?Comment

Hey it doesnt sound to bad and i am willing to pay $10 vs $30 like i did for SF. Perhaps they are listening to the community, it is what many have been asking for.

$10 is what, around £5-6? That sounds pretty cheap to me. Expecially for a few new maps, as they won't obviously let any custom maps run on ranked servers.Comment

I don't know about this, it seems like they're going to end up splitting the BF community too much. When you have a few major expansion packs it's okay but when you have a bunch of little ones you're only going to be able to play on the servers that have the exact same expansion pack(s) as you have.
For example say there are a set number of BF2 servers, well now that max number is split between Vanilla and SF, then when these come out it's going to be between Vanilla, SF, Booster1, Booster2. And if they can run multiple expansion packs on a server that's 10 different types of servers you could have out of that max number of total BF2 servers.
Who knows though, maybe they already thought about this and have a system for it.Comment
