I'll admit my only flaws are using the launcher up close and personal, jumping when fighting close range sometimes, and trying to find teamwork when 80% of the players have the brain power of a Mexican Jumping Bean.

Actually, a modern light machine gun should have rifle like accuracy on single shots and better than assault rifle groupings on small bursts. All machine guns are rifles at heart, having longer barrels and more weight should make them deadly accurate for single and burst shots. MG's only become inaccurate when fired continuously, like when used in a suppression situation. And again, this is counteracted somewhat by deploying the mg using a bipod.

In real life, a squad of exposed troops running in front of a deployed mg are dead meat, chewed up by (relatively) accurate and continuous fire. In BF2, you're lucky to knock out two troops before the rest of the squad rape you, even with the PKM.

Thanks man, You should see it when i run BF2 on my 42inch Plasma lol. But getting back to the Bunny hopping thing.

Ever since the new patch details came out all i have been reading are the cry baby bunny hoppers come out of the wood works "Please dont take my only skill away" Hey dont get me wrong i bunny hopped 2 for a bit but i realy have made a effort to stay flat footed while doing battles and have gotten realy good at it and even made it to the point that i can pretty much wipe out the hopping *** everytime. now i have been shooting guns for years now and i would love to see you try and bunny hop with a 12 gauge and see how quick you are to make a ass out of yourself or any weapon of greater power than a hand gun. See how quick your picking yourself up off the floor.

I know what all you hopper are gonna say "Its a game....boo hoo hoo" well i brought this game cause its said its shipping me into high tech frontlines and modern warfare and if i remember quickly when my brother went to the USMC they didnt teach Bunny hopping in boot camp. I want the game as realistic to war as possible and not a joke with the hopping homo.

So suck it up and take your beating like every other non-hopping player that learned how to play without the usless hopping.

I've never liked the fact that you can go prone in mid air even though i do it all the time. So it'll be good to see that go. I don't like how they made it where you can't shoot while jumping though. It's not even realistic. I sure hope htey plan on fixing the fact that you can 203 a guy from a foot away and still live.

I found the perfect game for you guys who don't like 'jumping and shooting', 'dolphin diving' and 'bunny hoppers'... there are no jets in it either, so you can be happy about that too!!

Super patch, really. I was out of BF2 since a while, now this patch might bring me back.

It's F-ugly to see bunny hopping, prone spamming, dolphin diving and what not...now the game will look much better.

So...now infantry won't run in alleys jumping like fookas...they'll sprint instead. People will have to use cover, stealth AND support fire in order to fight. Sounds much funnier than: run, kill, die, respawn.

I'm especially happy about the shoot/jump restriction. Now noobtubers will take more damage from their point-blank blasts.

The main argument for doing those things has been "it's allowed by the game so it's OK to do it". Well, now it won't be allowed by the game any more. And all the people who said "get used to it" can live by their own words.

Oh, I'll get used to it, just like I have gotten used to any other online fps game over the past 10 years. Those who can adapt better will adjust to it with the tiniest of learning curves, those who can't adapt will cry til they get their way, and I guess alot of people are going to get their way.

Not only has it been allowed by the game, it has been allowed by almost every single game on the planet that was made after DoomII, but I guess that exploit has just been overlooked for about ummm... 9 years.

I really think they should implement the DOD system of classes, where there can only be a certain number of machine gunners, snipers, and medics on a team, so that they can still make those weapons powerful, but that one class wont be picked by the whole team.

Well, I'm going to take a wait and see stance.
I'm all for curbing bunnyhopping, Dolphin Diving, Prone Jumping, and invincible planes...

However, I still think that the proposed changes are the wrong way to go about things. I hope I'm wrong and they come out well, but to say I don't have a lot of faith would be to put it mildly.

They already do that. It's called the vehicle limit.

Yeah, and I guess this game was supposed to be just like Doom II...

The thing is, you bought Battlefield 2 like the rest of us. Battlefield 2 has real life weapons and "realistic physics" so one would assume that it would make an attempt at some sort of realistic "battlefield". Dolphin diving is not something I practice every day in the Marines, that's for sure. We're normally not taught to shoot in mid air or even throw grenades while jumping, for that matter. We damn sure aren't taught to shoot an M203 straight at the ground to hit someone 5 feet away from us. I know, I know, this is a game, but it was/is marketed as a game that simulates a modern combat battlefield and that was my perception when I purchased it. It seems others felt that way too. If I wanted to play Quake/Doom, I'd load those games up.

In any case, I will also "adapt" to the new gameplay but I'm not sure that I will have to change too much because I don't dolphin dive/noob tube to begin with.

Here, this seems more up your alley:

Re: To all of you bunny hoppers, dolphin divers, and apologists...

Realism? OK, one shot to the head, your dead. You don't respawn. A wrench does not fix everything. You don't **** health and ammo out of your ass. UAV's are not invisible. Once a vehicle is destroyed, it doesn't respawn. You can't jump out of a jet from 600 meters, land in water without deploying your chute and live to tell about it. Standing next to a crate does not magically heal you. A medic cannot revive you with shock paddles after a bullet was put in your head. You do not carry a magical chute that opens more than once. Do not do any of this, it is exploiting. <-- dripping with sarcasm, just thought I would point this out for retards without a sense of humor.

And then we go onto the really realistic stuff in this game... a wooden fence does not stop a tank. If you put a tank round into a building, it will not stand there unscathed. A wooden crate will not stop a humvee, or a ford pinto for that matter. Trees will not block a laser guided bomb and shield the vehicle behind it from being destroyed. Ground is impenetrable to bombs, there is no way in real life that you will not get a crater from a bomb that lands hits it. In real life, the enemy has a red nametag over his head. When you switch weapons, it magically appears in your hand out of thin air. The easter bunny ****s gold bricks.

The only thing semi-realistic about anything in this game, is the models. Don't even try to bring realism into this argument, it's ******** and that perspective is so far removed from the truth that it is an idiotic comparison.

You want to play something that is a bit more realistic, play America's Army, it's even free. Here, this seems more up your alley:

                                http://www.americasarmy.com/

                                k tx bye.
