Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
... and you had the time to post because there is so much MORE going on in yours... right? Always some wiseass troll, thinks he is better than us "gamers."
DKP-Orkan If you was a true gamer you would learn to adapt with the arty on BF2. but nope you just want it removed or to be made inafective, sorry but thats not what true gamers do, they learn to adapt.
I have played for nearly 530hrs been killed loads of times by arty, I live with it as it is part of the game and since 1.03 and the points for killing commanders assests there isn't as much arty as before, I myself will go Spec-ops if I get the chance to blow up the enemys assests, if the commander drops a supply create I just go plant c4 restock BOOM rince repeat, I have on some games alone kept the arty distroyed all map, it is easy as most players just want kills and will not go engineer to repair the commanders assests.
Learn to adapt or live with it from what I have read BFSF has also got arty, it's not going away just yet. :)
I hate ta tell ya this, but if you truely believe that, you are prolly a crappy commander.
It does take some skill (mental, not physical) to use artillery effectivly. Any shaved money can just click on a bunch of red dots, but the same can be said of any gun. Point, shot, dead, right?
Wrong.
You have to know how and when to pull that trigger in order to maximuze the damage you do. Same with artillery. Do you fire on their main base in hopes of causing distruction to players and vehicle assets, or do you hit the front lines to open ways for your boys to move in, OR do you save it for when a flag goes neutral and no-one has a hope of getting there to stop the enemy from capping it?
It's something that some people can use better than others.
Thus, it requires "skill".
Suck it up.
I stopped reading the replies when I saw this post.
This is also exactly what I was gonna say. Wargimp, u always have some real valueable thougths.
Artillery keeps things moving. Can't shake that control point due to the hard mathematics of respawns? Soften it up with artillery and move in! Bunch of enemy troops just lying behind those rocks taking pot shots at an outpost? Flush them out!
Artillery is a tool to bleed tickets, prevent stalemates, and flush out the campers. Just don't use it to spoil a nice close-up firefight; it's no fun for the players and will probably kill friendlies.
Agreed to this but i also add: When you see on the maps that arty is incoming then get out of there quick(doing that without getting shot requiers true skill)! And if its the enemy artillery then just curse a bit and respawn...

Totally agree, Arty is a handy tool when used wisely.
I think people are shocked that they can be humbled by somebody on the other side of the map that's licking dirty pavement by a 3rd World Gas Station. They are also humbled because they are no longer Rambo, who can stride the battle field killing foes, but a normal soldier. Who lives in fear of the Big Guns, Guns that come in with no warning and can completely obliterate 2 enemy squads if they are close enough together. The fact that they must now always move with where the nearest cover is in mind, is too much of a rude and much needed awakening. So they insult EA, DiCE and probably their own best friend's Mom to make them feel better because they simply can't adapt to how Military Combat has been since Indirect Fire was made possible in World War One.
You Wander away from cover and I as a Commander, Will smite your stupid ass with my Giant Boom Stick. I will rain unholy hell and destruction upon the snipers that Spawn Camp my soldiers. My Mission as a Commander is to make sure my side has victory with the least amount of body bags, if you can't handle that, pack up and move out, because I'm certainly not going to abandon my men.
If you are getting nailed by arty a lot, it means you aren't continually moving. I don't get nailed by artillery all that often because I don't take the same paths as everyone else and I don't sit in one place like an idiot.
As a commander, yes, using arty does take skill. Sure, anyone can just point and click. . . however, anyone can do that with a gun as well. Properly using a gun, as with an arty, to maximize their effectiveness does take skill and an understanding of how people play.
And this BS about the commander not being punished is just stupidity. If I am a commander and I get a TK, I lose 4 points, that can turn into 8 points if my team wins the round. Commanders are no more or less careless than they were before the patch.
I personally like it and think it is effective and gives the commander more control, considering noone listens to a commander.
