Doesn't matter what PC you have, the game's code is the root of the problem. No amount of tweaking, except tweaks to the game's source code, will fix the problems with the way the game is.

And before you ask, yes my BF2 does run, and I've not had the apocalpytic doomsday scenarios people talk about where they inserted their BF2 CD or DVD and the computer caught fire and smelled of fire and brimstone or something. I've not had the multitude of CTD's people say they've had. I do however recognize a horrid server browser that is bested by the 1942 browser, bugs that are detrimental to gameplay that have been known since the demo which still aren't resolved, content that was promised and still advertised to be in the game that is nowhere to be found in the game or it's code. If you can convince me those 3 things aren't true, then I'll drop the issue. But until you can offer some proof of the arguement instead of trying to buy more copies of BF2, whining yourself, or trying to put the blame on consumers, you sir are the one lacking credibility or a supporting arguement.

If the kids here dont want to read a few posts, I will sum it up for you, and please think about it for 5 sec. before you act. As I have said: I love this game, but it could've been so much better. EA has advertised and is STILL advertising extras in this game that are NOT even available. That is consumer deception. EA is withholding SP1 COOP bot pathing and other misc. tools. My game runs fine! But if anyone wrote down a dozen things you dont like about the game, or that you think is wrong, i bet half of those are other peoples issue's too. EA is not listening, does that sound like community support?

If you do not see the bigger picture here, it is because you haven't been in the real world long enough. Last time i checked, corporations supports their products, and they are NOT allowed to false advertise.
But you are arguing two different things...Yes the game doesnt have all the items we all want...but no they did not falsely advertise the game...

I could only imgaine if you where smart enough to actually keep up with MS and there development of Longhorn into Vista and see how many things they have cut and changed during post production...Would you then bitch about the new OS no because frankly I dont think you really have any clue about computers to the extent you think you do...

If it was carseat's, I'd do that. But I have done this for a water heater (with a faulty coil). Turns out a few hundred had the same problem. Maybe 50,000 heaters were sold, but that still doesn't make it right that the minority didn't have hot enough water. The BBB thought so too.

You mean Norton System Never Works..... yeah I recommend it all the time I'm more a PC-Cillin, AVG or NOD32 man myself...

And you are basing this argument on the fact that EA said there was a Hovercraft, buddylist, chatrooms, and In game clan creation...well the chat rooms can be related to the ingame text chat capability which would also cover in game clan creation...as for the Buddylist and Hovercraft who really gives a shyt...

When Vista comes out and advertises things that aren't in the OS, yes i have a case.
Here is what the sites of different stores say about the features of BF2 (False/misleading).

EA games: Take control of over 30 land, sea, and air vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, hovercraft , fast attack vehicles, and fighter jets.

Full in-game community support including, buddy lists , stat tracking, live chat rooms , and in-game clan creation .

And here is a biggie from Kmart.

Armed with the latest weaponry, players can take control of any of the game's 30+ vehicles to engage in major conflicts with over 100 players in some of the largest online battles on the PC. And Walmart also says
Online multiplayer action with 100+ players on the PC.

And they both talk about the clan creation and such as the other stores. Also still posted are screenshots that aren't even one of the maps we received w/ the game.

I dont think your qualified to assume what I know and dont know about computers.

Sure, but it's not as if EA is shipping out some copies of the game that are inherently flawed, while others are not. Contradictary to what some would have you believe, this problems are an issue at the client end. Otherwise everyone would experience problems.

I'm not diminishing the problems in any way, in fact I do have crashes to desktop, and video issues (which I suspect are the cause of my ****ty Leadtek GPU). But it's not something inherent in the BF2 software. That's why I think its such a fickle arguement, and you'll have a hard time making your case to any authority.

My case was already reviewed w/ enough merit for the BBB to contact EA about my issues.

Where on the Gatorade web site does it say you'll be Michael Jordan? If you think they are minor than nothing will happen, right? So maybe understand that if things like this arent kept in check, they become major things.

I'd argue someone posting in this thread that their copy of BF2 runs fine is just as constructive as any other post. Perhaps even more constructive, since it supports the results of the poll.
