Re: Has EA broken any consumer protection laws?

This post has become one large flame war with many idiots coming out :hmm: , stop crying how since you think bf2 is fun it gives no one a right to say how they feel the company advertised. Legal or not the facts are we got much less then promised and although I like bf2 it could have been much better and EA should have given us a complete list of things b4 the game came out. But then again anyone stupid nouf to buy a game without knowing about it deserves to waste 50 bucks. Still, I reserve my judgement on bf2 till sf comes out. I dislike how EA did lie, and yes they did, but they said they will put effort into sf.

After all we have been through we are lawyers except for Donkey. He can't come in our circle of law.

But really one of my older friends said I did a pretty good job with research and that one of you guys who posted about the getting paid weekend or something blah blah from page 1, or 2 are wrong.

But really all I have been doing besides this is learning graphology.

Oh I read it. The question in the subject line is intriguing. But when the general concensus was no, things went way off track. Did I miss anything?

Okay how about this. We shall go ahead with phase II after we see how special forces does. If it does more then just add more pain and does fix every last bug I The Question will back off a whole 10% on finding all the dirt on EA.

Trust me given enough time I can find anything and everything about the dirty work of Elctronic Arts.

Well if you dont agree, good for you! You are adequately satisfied with sub standard software, and also so selfish, to not care if another gamer is misled by advertiseing and blatent lies in interviews of the games producer.

EA is nothing but a conspiracy theory.

Reaching back to Ancient Egypt, there's been a single cabal of powerful individuals (Electronic Arts) directing the course of human history. But the common man prefers to believe they don't exist(SuperDonkey), which aids their success.

That is something EA would do in a heartbeat. Like many have said EA has our money and they are happy. I bet the CEO is getting that 5 million dollar pool party ready. Hope I get an invite.

(Throwing link after link to you)

That would be quite funny to see all those old share holders trying to drown an 19 year old. Drown him! I was reading something a month or so ago about how high EA shares got.

It was like $6 or $9 something near the time of BF2's release.

the BBB has no power over anyone.. all they will do is send them a few
letters..and then EA will respond with a the normal company line of BS..

I do commend you on your efforts though.. any aggitation is better
than none.. but EA doesnt care, truly.. they got our money and
already spending it on madden 07..

If enough people complain, a case worker will write up the paperwork and submit it to the local courts where EA has there offices, a court order will be issued (in due time) for an executive to appear, the case will be submitted with the executives side of the story and............It will be submitted to the grand jury for further investigation. The grand jury will do one of two things, order an injunction on the product to be fixed and the offense will be passed on to the next court that will take it, probably a regional superior court. OR they will dismiss the case against them.

The publicity that this will generate will be great. But they may not let it get that far. After the case worker submits to the court, EA will be notified of a claim submitted(almost like being served), they may avoid the whole thing and just fix the issues.

I have gone through this before except it was with a water heater(the coil was defective) and hundreds ended up filing claims to a local place, I ended up buying a new water heater, but i did get my money back for my troubles, and the heater. This is different, but it would be the same if the water heater only heated to 98 degrees when it was advertised for 120 degrees.
